Presenting the theory in video form makes it easier to digest its enormity than the giant flowchart that I learned about the theory from. Cool.

WTF did I just watch?

Tommy Westphall's Universe doesn't have to be as big as Bob says it is. I don't see any reason why Tommy can't name one of his imaginary corporations after a Thomas Pynchon creation while other "real" shows that occur outside of Tommy's imagination also reference the same corporate name (Yoyodyne). That would lop off an entire branch of the tree Bob describes.

Yeah, there have been discussions that brands and company names are as often driven by established, vetted, non-infringing names and trade dress as they are by mythology or 'easter eggs'
