One road win over a team that's 2-10 in league play. Sure UK's beatable but predicting a MU win flies in the face of their body of work which is obviously nearly complete at this point. |

I don't think either team played its A overall game last night. Probably a B+ from Missouri and a B or B- from Florida. I'd give Florida a B+ or A- defensively (REALLY impressed with them). Probably only a C game for them on offense, though. Missouri played its A game on D (need to keep seeing that) and a B game offensively. Hope we see a rematch in the SEC tourney final... |

MU played their best (IMO) defensive game of the season which affected the gators. They walked into a hornets nest and got beat by a team that is difficult to beat in CoMO. Pressey elevated his play for most of the 2h which aided the comeback.
As for the possibility of a rubber game, meh. There is no doubt who the better team is |

You're not the normal interwebs Florida fan, though. (Much better) |

From 3: Mizzou @ home = 36.2% Florida not at home = 39.2% |

This game just came down to making plays at the end. Mizzou has been extraordinarily bad in those situations this year. Florida just happened to be the team that caught them when they didn't shit themselves. |

It came down to Florida's poor shooting (3pt, field, and foul line) and Mizzou's defense causing TOs and disallowing Florida to go inside. Quote:

Donna Shalala is pissed and I'm going to get a kick out of watching her and The U kick the NCAA around over this.
They NCAA should've quickly slunk off into a corner and let this die. Now they're going to get the full enema treatment from Miami and every lawyer they can come up with. This will get brutal if the NCAA doesn't tuck tail and run quickly. And I'll love every second of it. What a !@#$ing corrupt organization these guys are. |
If/when the superconferences get settled and break away from the NCAA, it's going to suck losing the basketball tournament (such as it is), but I don't think I will miss anything else.
And really, the tournament is so great because you're just hoping to see car wrecks in the first few rounds, anyway. A sixteen team tournament or whatever will be a better way to crown a champion, but it won't be as entertaining. |
I mentioned this on another site, but what prevents colleges from pulling an Andrew Jackson and saying: "The NCAA has made their decision. Now let them enforce it"?
It's not like the NCAA has a police force or an army. |
