No longer a raider! On to my next venture! Expanding Gods territory (https://twitter.com/AaronCurry51 What a bust that dudes been. |
All these religious athletes are getting annoying

I hate it when players seem outwardly happy about getting cut. Especially ones that don't deserve to play on winners. Like Aaron ****ing Curry.
|
I can see the intesity in his eyes through this tweet.
|
What happened to this guy? He was a highly touted player that appeared to have some gifts.
|
The 09 draft was just one big turd.
|
expanding gods territory? lol what a disappointment.
|
so, he's going in halfsies with vernon gholston on randy moss' smoothie shop and converting it to a southern baptist church?
|
If Tyson Jackson didnt have Scott Pioli on his side, he would probably be bouncing around the league in similar fashion.
hahaha and Pioli reworked Tysons deal in April of THIS YEAR to give him 2 years and 22 million when the guy probably wouldn't get 2years 5 million anywhere else. Sad |

That draft was pretty damn weak, in relation to other drafts. There are a handful of players that have developed into some very nice pieces, but overall that draft was one of the weakest in recent history.
That said, THE EXECUTIVE OF THE DECADE should have been able to identify at least one guy that would be an elite player out of that whole crop of players, shouldnt he have? ESPECIALLY when he went rogue on that draft and threw out all of KCs scouting reports and also disregarded what Todd Haley wanted so he could force a defensive scheme change with the selection of Tyson Jackson and Alex Magee ALL BY HIMSELF. That was AFTER he had already traded that second round pick for Cassel craptasitc. JFC that was one terrible offseason. |

I was really new here at the time...can someone fill me in on this whole "intensity in his eyes" stuff...it sounds like it has a pretty good back story.
|
He was the top defensive player on 90% of the scouting reports......

He's a "can't miss player" , they said.... "one off the best linebackers ever", they said.

When can we have our "Matt Cassel no longer a Chief" thread?

theres a lot of starting NFL talent in the league right now from the 09 draft. Its just the top 10 picks that look like dogshit there was a lot of talent that panned out in rounds 2+3 (Shady McCoy and Ladarius Webb being some of the best at their position in the game today being selected here) and heres some of the UNDRAFTED players in 2009. Jovan Belcher Tom Crabtree Danelle Ellerbee Arian Foster Brian Hoyer Jacob Lacey Issac Redman Kevin Olgetree these guys have made nice NFL careers for being undrafted in that draft. The Chiefs got Belcher and Crabtree, its just too bad Scott Pioli is a ****ing idiot and let Crabtree walk for nothing, because well, hes a ****ing idiot. |
Evidently he was scouting combine wizard who fooled Al Davis. Hard to figure.
|
Gotta be more than that.

LMAO No, it absolutely was not. |

maybe we could bring him in as a passrush specialist. looking at the stats all those draft gurus that said he can learn how to rush the passer in the NFL since he wasn't asked to in college were right.

The Lord sure moves in mysterious ways.

Herm...the scout
On January 22nd Herm Edwards' assessment of the Kansas City Chiefs would have mattered. But today, Herm's opinion that the Chiefs should draft Aaron Curry doesn't actually matter. When asked about the Chiefs' plans, Herm cited Eugene Monroe as a possibility, but ultimately said "the linebacker" should be the choice (H/T Adam Teicher at the Red Zone): "The linebacker is a good pick for them," Edwards said. "An offensive lineman is a good pick for them, the kid from Virginia (Eugene Monroe). But if the linebacker is sitting there, he a good player now. He comes in and plays. He’s going to play right away. He’s a heck of a football player." Saying "the linebacker" brings back some memories...I won't tell you what kind of memories, but let's just say memories. I just got off the phone with Jon Gruden and Steve Mariucci.* I'm getting something together now and will let you know what they said about the Chiefs and the draft. |

Does anyone actually know the story on why he is such a failure? Party animal? Uncoachable/undisciplined? Lazy?
The overwhelming consensus prior to his drafting was that he had unbelievable physical tools and the motor/mental makeup to back it up. Curious if anyone can comment on his downfall. |

I had a dream last night were Aaron Curry was in a Jets uniform and he sacked Chad Henne. That was a shitty dream.
