I recalled the plot from the actual show, but until now had never seen this test footage.

My mom used to watch AitF and laugh her ass off. I thought it sucked ass....until I got a bit older. One of the best all time.

This could be a good tournament.

Have we suggested Tom Hanks from Sleepless in Seattle? He lived on a boat and snagged a very cute Meg Ryan.

Dexter's father was a pretty good character. Reminded me of my dad.

Sam Eliot on The Ranch but he is a no good Bronco fan that drives a Ford so he is a no good father.

How is The Ranch. I've heard good and bad, but the overriding sentiment that it's a standard sitcom hasn't spurred me to put it to the top of the queue.

This TV show was probably the most groundbreaking and handled more controversial topics than anything else in the last 45 years. I loved the show and so did my parents.

Believe it or not, I think Roseanne handled a lot of taboo and difficult topics. I never saw it in prime time but I watch the reruns and I'm shocked how much I like the show and the subject matter.

Did you watch that 70's show?

yeah, Add Sam Elliott and put them on a farm. Instead of getting stoned they get drunk.

It's just hyde and Kelso being hyde and kelso.

Wow...tough choices.
I think the following are first ballot no brainers:
Ward Cleaver (Leave it to Beaver)
Al Bundy (Married with Children)
Calvin's Dad (Calvin and Hobbes)

These are indisputable.

Old school TV had lots of great dad figures:
Fred MacMurray (Steve Douglas-My Three Sons)
Robert Young (Father Knows Best)
Fred Flintstone (The Flintstones)
George Jetson (The Jetsons)
John Amos (James Evans in Good Times)
Carrol O'Connor (Archie Bunker)
Bob Saget (Full House)

There's ten that's a good start.
