After extensive research on the players in the upcoming draft, this how I would like us to draft... Round One-QB Geno Smith. Round Two WR Robert Woods. Round Three-CB Rob Alford. Round Four-ILBer Jon Bostic. Round Five-DE William Gholston. Round Six-CB Tyrann Mathieu. Round Seven-WR Marcus Dixon. (Posted from phone or I'd be more expansive on players) I hope to give in-depth analysis of players later. Thoughts?

I like the first pick, anyway.

Rape with the first pick.

Good first pick. Mediocre on the rest.

Bostic and Gholston would be welcome picks but I think they'll be taken before the 4th and 5th rounds.

Like the first two picks, the rest look like blah.

Bostic & Gholston aren't mediocre, but they're completely unrealistic in rds 4 & 5.

Since the Chiefs probably receive a 3rd round comp pick, your list will work with moving Jon Bostic up to a 3rd round comp pick and William Gholston to a 4th round pick.

I like the picks -

Matt Cassel replaced by Geno Smith
Dwayne Bowe replaced by Robert Woods. There are 2 or 3 other WRs that might also be considered with this 2nd pick.
The mistake Stanford Routt replaced by Rob Alford.
Javon Belcher replaced by Jon Bostic.
Glenn Dorsey replaced by William Gholston.

I think the next two picks you might want to consider replacements for G/C Ryan Lilja and QB Brady Quinn.

But looks like a pretty good draft.

Robert woods is totally overrated. Gholston is a physical specimen who has never produced. I just don't like em. I'd rather have a corner like Rhodes or Amerson in the second.

FYP. No reason to let Bowe go.

Meh. I'd rather give Baldwin 1 more season with a real QB & real coaching than draft Robert Woods in the 2nd round. There are FA WRs or guys we can grab in the 3rd round (or guys better than Woods that we can hope to get at 2.2).

I agree, actually. I was just going by the premise in the OP. I would like to get a speed guy but going into next season with Bowe, Breaston and Baldwin with a real QB and a real OC would be okay for now. If Baldwin still sucks, get a new WR next year.

We need to move Baldwin to TE

The combine has helped solidify alot of these picks as quality players. We could do alot worse.

I went from a very comprehensive list and that's where they had the players slated. Keep in mind I did this way before the combine. I'll also add we have a compensatory third rounder that I didn't consider, so we could pull this draft off. The bigger point is the players I recommended.

No, they should keep Jovan Belcher. He's an assassin.

I would take D'Andre Hopkins from Clemson before Woods, if available of course. I believe he is going to be a perennial pro bowler one day.

Woods looked real good to me at the combine. He looked like an instinct receiver. Very smooth.
