It's hard for me to get hyped watching ANY video game trailer. Probably because 90% of the time there's no actual gameplay footage in it.

Ugh! After reading they are using the same ****ing engine again in mw2 this shit is getting old I might nOt even buy this time around with my disappointment with black ops and the pussies at infinty ward that are scared of change. Modern Warefare 2.5

I don't even care if they get a new engine. Until lag is fixed it doesn't really matter. I might buy this game if I have god-like internet speeds... then I can **** everyone else over.

Why wouldn't you want them to use a tweaked MW2 engine? Black Ops would have been sooooo much better if Treyarch used it. The sound, the responisveness of the controls, and the hit detection was excellent in MW2.

I want MW3 to be exactly like MW2 but without the unlimited explosives. If you got into a lobby without those OMA Danger Close assholes MW2 was epic. I rarely ran into those guys though because the only gamemode I played in MW2 is FFA and those guys normally played TDM and DOM.

99% of the time in COD 4 and MW2 I play with a 3 bar connection and a 3 bar in those games is better than a 4 bar in Lag Ops.

and the Maddenization of CoD continues.

Why fix what isnt broken? Cod is probably the top selling game on both consoles. I wouldnt try to drastically change the game if I was them.

Battlefield3 looks exactly like CoD when it comes to single player.... it's multiplayer that I'm curious about the differences.

I liked alot of stuff about MW2 better than Black Ops.


I'll be buying this as soon as it comes out.

Battlefield 3 looks like a better single player.

I liked MW2's campaign SOOOO much more then Black Ops. I can't even finish Black Ops' campaign. Its just never sucked me in. I also liked the guns a lot better in MW2.

With that said, i know it's time to stop prestiging in Black Ops. I just don't play enough. By the time i get the Gold Camo it'll be time to replace the game. Which one i get though, I have no idea.

Is MW2 worth picking up for the story mode?

I think so. I laughed, I cried, I shot a lot of innocent people up in an airport.

Right? I've finished every single player campaign int he CoD series except for the POS Black Ops one.

Meh. I'm sure I'll probably buy it - and BF3 - but the whole concept has gotten pretty old.

I finished it. Then decided to go back through it and finish it on Veteran. Campaign itself was cool. I liked it. After seeing the cut scenes 30 or 40 bazillion times, I got really tired of the fact that I couldn't skip them. Oh, you can skip a portion of it, but you are still forced to watch an hour of bullshit to get to the actual game play. ****, it still pisses me off.

Hopefully the custom class setup is more like MW2 than BO. It was nice having a shotgun as your secondary weapon.

I don't know if shotguns are secondaries or not but it was leaked a few weeks ago that the AA12 and the Model 1887 are coming back. Hope they bring the Spas back as well.

I never understood why you couldn't have a shotgun as a secondary weapon in BO. FFS......it's close range weapon.

RCXD's and grenade launchers can GTFO.


Shotty's as a #1 is fine to me. Really cuts down on the number of people using them.

Of course not, but you're still going to be buying the cheap features to keep up with everyone else. And if you won't, then more power to you.

That would end the franchise. I think they are going to make it a bitch to unlock stuff points wise. But you can spend money to unlock it.

Prorbably will have money perks also or something that gives a slight edge.

It will have to cheap enough and good enough for people to say **** it and buy it.

There's a sizable portion of people that will not spend extra money for a game they've already purchased. Me included.

If i'm buying a game, i don't want to continue paying for the damn thing after i buy it. So i won't buy the extras. Simple as that.

I'm sure there's a good amount of people that won't buy the thing at all now.

I won't be buying extra shit. I don't play it enough to warrant spending extra money.

You won't have to. But others will probably have the better weapons and perks way before you if they do it right.

Hell, I would probably spend the extra money if you pay to unlock shit that stays unlocked each prestige.

usually I never buy new games; only every now and again do I buy them right as they come out. I usually wait for the price to come down a bit.

so, I'll most certainly not buy the DLC; and depending on how the DLC impacts the game for those who aren't buying DLC....I might not get it at all if that stuff screws with the balance.

MW3 already has 4 times as many pre-orders in the first week of pre-orders than Black Ops did in the first week. Nobody is going to be playing Battlefield 3 when it comes out.

Probably a rental for me to play through the campaign if nothing else.

Bf3 vs MW3 should be an interesting match.

MW3 will outsell BF3 5:1 unless EA decides they want to drop some bank on advertisement.

BF3 looks significantly better and the campaign looks to be grounded in reality unlike MW2/3.

This. COD has a grip on this genre and they aren't letting go. Too many people play COD and are use to how it plays. BF3 looks like the better game to me though.

I ****ing HATE the Noobtubes in MW2. If they don't do anything about the noobtubes my choice will likely heavily sway towards BF3

I hope this game is a lot more like MW2 and COD4 than B'Ops. I have faith they will make this a great game. I loved Black Ops for a few weeks, but got sick of it fast. I could have played those other two forever. Only reason I don't is my friends don't... and I hate playing with people I'm not a team with.

This CP PS3 clan better be legit! Because me and my friends would usually play about 20 games, winning at least 15 by huge margins, still winning the other five and we would all quit for the night because winning so much got boring.

Which one comes out first?? If BF3 comes out a month or even 3 weeks before mw3 and people are in to it they will keep their character going..

If mw3 comes out first, bf3 is ****ed and should just push it back four to six months..

Yes. I never even tried playing the other one before B'Ops for that reason, I've heard they aren't nearly as good.

With black ops and world at war, i had the problem alot around here have. I cant play it for more than an hour without getting bored. Just traded in my black ops for bad company 2.

Trust me I took advantage of the unlimited Claymores but I would prefer if they took them completely out of the game. The more people who run around instead of camp the better.

Battlefield comes out December 31st. What a dumb day to release a game. They are going to completely miss out on Christmas sales. Everybody is already going to have MW3 by the time Battlefield 3 comes out.

I loved the claymores on my sniper class. The Spas was a monster as my secondary also. I never got into the dual models... but my last month playing I was all about the tack knife and sprinting. And dual P90's... hail yeah

Unlimited claymores? You can only have 2 up at one time. The second you try to put the 3rd one down, they all blow up.

Actually only one of your claymores would blow up...... but if you had Scavenger and got a kill with your claymore all you had to do is pick one up and put another one down. And that encourages people to sit in the same damn spot all game because they don't have to watch their back.

They were a pain in the ass to get out of there too, because as soon as that claymore goes off they just switch to their AA12 extended mag secondary and obliterate anybody who came through the door. The only way to get them out of their little hiding hole was to hit them with n00btubes or get out your trusty flashbang class.

That is stupid. That doesn't make any sense at all. No way that info is right.

I haven't been following Battlefield so my bad.

I seriously doubt that BF3 is going to let MW3 sit out in the market for that long before they release their game. There would be no way that they could compete with them if that happened.

Agree to disagree. If I want to run around I will play halo. There are tons of ways to get capers, you either do not have the setup for them on your person or don't want to alternate your strategy.

I think most campers are easy to kill. The ones you should worry about are the guys who keep switching their spot after they kill you, but they are not really campers.

That or the ****ers that run thru my claymores and never seem to take damage.

Two claymore things annoy the shit out of me on Black Ops.

#1 - the guys that run through my claymore like it isn't there.

#2 - when I plant a claymore, and a guy triggers it and it kills me, but not them. Then, when the opposite happens and I die, but the guy who planted it doesn't.

I hate the ****ers who play claymores in random areas of the map. I understand if you plant a claymore in the building that you're going to be in....but if you're planting it in a building where you aren't even at.......it's annoying.

That's how your suppose to do it. Planting claymores is traffic spots is the best way to get free kills.

A lot of times, especially if I'm sniping, I'll kill a few people from one spot - sometimes the same guy 2-3 times as he is trying to rush me - and I'll leave my claymore planted there so that next time he comes back.....and he will....he runs square into my claymore. LMAO

I was playing a match on Saturday night and I had like 5 deaths from one guy....and it was all claymores. They were just in random spots of the map.
