Anyone ever did the Trendwest resort free trip thing?
 

Was going to pay for Vegas but I figured... what the hell. Let them pay for it (airfare & 2 nights stay at their resort).

Any others?

Also they told me to spread the word to others.
You have to sit through a 2 hour presentation while they try to sell the package to you.

If you're interested in a free trip to Orlando or Vegas... let me know.

I did one of those trips up to the Colorado mountains once. It was two hours of sales pitch that started out nice and ended up relatively high-pressure, but it was worth it to get the free room. I just started doing multiplication tables in my head during the high-pressure part.

Was the rooms/vacation nice?

It was a reasonable room. Nothing fancy, but it was the standard room at the resort that had the timeshares. I was fine with it.

If I was retired, I'd probably be doing those tours all the time.

i got the trendwest free certificate... haven't gone yet though... did they buy you a free dinner at Hereford House too?

There's a too option?
I was only offered the free trip to Vegas or Orlando.

My uncle & aunt bought in a long time ago & I told her to have them call me since I was going for my 30th B-day anyways.

Now it looks like the $700 or so I was going to spend on airfare and hotel I can spend on gambling or doing something else stupid with my $.
Is there anything "hidden" I should be worried about?

i don't think so... just the fact that you have to go during the week for the free thing
currently they're calling all the owners and trying to get them to bring their friends to herefords or cascones for a free dinner... then if they like the little 15min talk they get, the can go back to the trendwest place and sit through the presentation to get the free trip... from what i'm told
