BILL COWHER TO HC THE CHIEFS????
 

On the way home tonight I was listening to the new 101.1 FM ESPN sports talk radio here in St. Louis. A local writer for a "Chiefs" website (I believe he said mychiefshome.com but I can't be sure) claimed that Hunt was in NC interviewing Cowher and that the Chiefs were planning to make the announcement next week.

Of course ESPN questioned him about it and he said that the main writer for their website was going on record saying Cowher would be the next HC.

Take it for what its worth. Someone on here may be able to pull up the audio on the ESPN segment. It was around 515 pm and the segment was called "Just Saying."

Specifically, the announcement was claimed to be scheduled for Wednesday.

He must be coming to be defensive coordinator, because I heard that Shanahan is going to be our next head coach.

Thanks, I couldn't remember exactly. Anyway, I know Cowher has supposedly suggested that he wouldn't coach until 2010 or 2011 but having Gailey here as the OC certainly coincides with other postings on here that Gailey is his preferred OC.
