What would be some small shop places around KC?

HonestChieffan 12-27-2012 07:19 PM

B and B Archery in KC and Millers in Garden City Mo. Forrest Miller is a great guy to buy from and knows bows inside and out.

I was suggesting he go shoot their bows and spend some of Cabela's time/money figuring out what he likes.....and buy elsewhere.

What this nation needs is BOW AND ARROW CONTROL!!!1111

Iowanian 12-27-2012 08:20 PM

You're right TW.

Arrow control is important or else you're more likely to miss or shoot your big brown eyed prey in the guts and have to chase them for hundreds of yards.

Rogers seems to have some good prices.

Vic is very knowledgeable and will not steer you wrong. She is "good people".

Mike at Carter's is known as "Crackers" in the archery industry. He is one of the best string builders and bow tuners in the country. Not everyone likes his personality, but if he's working on your bow just shut up and let him work his magic. ROFL

I wouldn't put to much faith in Rogers, but their prices can be good.

I'd try to buy local so you're able to get service when needed instead of letting some reeruned big box store moron work on your bow.

The ones in MO are the farthest away from me. Anyone have experience with the KS ones?
