Yes. Football IQ and instincts are OK. Overall intelligence- not so much. That's just my opinion.

The Wonderlic isn't a proper gauge as to whether or not a guy will be able to learn an NFL playbook anyway. Off the top of my head, Donovan McNabb and Dan Marino both scored in the low teens and Ryan Fitzpatrick scored in the 40s. Not to mention the large number of skil position players that routinely score less than 15 yet go on to learn playbooks with no issues.

There are multiple measures of intelligence and standardized tests are not a good indicator of such. For instance they don't take into account testing phobias, different ways of interpreting information, etc.

Maybe being dumb is the KEY to why he is awesome. His mind isn't cluttered with thoughts and stuff. He just thinks, "CATCH BALL!" and "RUN FAST...THAT WAY!" The rest of his brain is devoted to manipulating his nervous system to stimulate muscle fibers to carry out that mission in a perfectly orchestrated symphony that nobody can stop.
