Maine-June vacation plans?
 

Anybody on this board been to Maine for vacation?
If so-Do you have any tips for what to see and where to go.

There's only one thing to do in Maine on vacation. Eat lobster.

And you would know this because....??

Because Lobster tastes really good.

I went to Maine 2 years ago and loved it. We spent a few days in Boston and then traveled up the seaboard to Maine. We went white water rafting on the Kennebec River. It was awesome. The weather is great in the summer time.

Lobster would be nothing without the cow (butter)!

Lobsters are cheap and plentiful in Maine.

Semi true. We ate at a couple of Lobster Shacks and the lobster was around $17 a piece.

Go see Portland Head Lighthouse

If you are going to be inland bring fly repellent.

If you're in the mood for a friendly quaint Maine atmosphere with a concentration of outdoor activities I recommend Bar Harbor Maine. It’s just outside (15 minute drive) Acadia National Forest.

Acadia is one of the most beautiful places on earth and neither the town nor Acadia is swamped with tourists no matter what time of year you go.

The funnest thing to do in Maine is to look at trees. If you are going there for vacation find the strongest alcohol you can and drink plenty of it!!!!
