Amazing movie. Extremely gripping and depressing. Plus, Marissa Tomei nude is just wow. Had no clue how hot she is, and at her age. Just wow.

Did you watch the special features? if not, go back and do it, you'll see why Rourke killed it... the directors pushed that guy to the max using some some pretty wild methods, like just smacking the shit out of him before emotional scenes.

And hey, anytime you get to see Marisa Tomei writhing around nekked, it cant be all that depressing :D

Rourke has done his share of bad acting and bad movies BUT...
he was robbed of the Oscar for Best Actor for "The Wrestler".

Rourke totally killed in that movie. No question the best movie of his career.
