Yup. I think they did great in the show by explaining why the throne was smaller. That was probably one of the best monologues I have ever heard. The Ladder of Chaos. ****ing Awesome.

George R.R. Martin spends a good hour chatting with Chris Hardwick on this week's Nerdist podcast.

He has written all of his novels on Wordstar 4.0 in DOS.

He should have spent that hour working on finishing the series. I'm starting to get nervous.

Wordstar? Holy shit. They had that at the Legal Service Office at Great Lakes when I was first transferred there. It was phased out and replaced with WordPerfect in 1987.

Well, the good news is that he no longer uses the floppy floppy discs [5 1/4], but the newer smaller harder discs [3 1/2].

Damn I miss WordPerfect. I hate Word. For what I do, WordPerfect was GREAT. Unfortunately, the whole rest of the world went to Word and law firms had to follow.

Tell me about it. WordPerfect was designed by professionals for use by professionals. Word was designed by assholes for use by monkeys.

Yes. If the ****ing program would STOP trying to think FOR me then I'd like it a whole lot better.

And WHY IN THE NAME OF GOD can't Word incorporate Reveal Codes? The simplest, most useful goddamn function a wordprocessor ever had, and 15 or whatever years later Word won't do anything more than show you where the spaces are... WTF?! :cuss:
