Is it possible they have been adamant about trying to get a second back with the intent of drafting a quarterback with the pick or moving up from the pick to take one?

Chiefs get Tannehill plus 42nd pick

Dolphins get Albert and Alex Smith

Meh, if they're determined to take Joeckel at 1, trade Albert and move on.

However, is it wrong to expect Joeckel to be a top 5 LT by atleast year 2?

I don't think it's wrong to expect that.

He damn well better be.

In reality it doesn't matter if he is. Joe Thomas has added tons of wins to the Browns...

Frankly, being the first overall pick, I'm expecting him to be a top 7 or 8 guy, year 1. By year 2, he needs to be a top 2 or 3 guy.

I didn't like the compensation we gave up to get him, but that's the going rate these days for a QB, especially when the worst QB class in years is happening.

:spock: Since when?

Messier 04-17-2013 06:57 PM

Yes, to be taken this high, he's got to be one of the best, quickly.

He also hasn't been the reason they are shit. The fact that the Browns are shit isn't on Joe Thomas.

Sure, but if you're taking the LT with your highest pick, and QB with something else, you're not doing it right.

Titty Meat 04-17-2013 06:58 PM

So trade a 2nd for a game manager then draft a LT 1.1 when you already have one but need a QB?

Looks like Dorsey was the ****tard behind Bulaga and Sherrod while the GB defense wasted away.

Hammock Parties 04-17-2013 06:58 PM

There is no defense for this. None. Stop stroking that Walrus Cock.

1.1, pissed away = indefensible.

Fine. We can take a LT.

But he better absolutely be one of the best LT's in the NFL. Soon. Like this year soon.
