JAYHAWKS CONTINUE ROAD SWING
Kansas (19-3, 7-2 Big 12) continues its two-game road swing when it plays at Oklahoma (14-7, 5-4) on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 3 p.m. on ESPN. KU is looking to end a two-game skid, its first since the 2005-06 season, after its 62-55 loss at TCU Feb. 6. Oklahoma is also trying to end a two-game losing streak after its loss at Iowa State, 83-64, on Feb. 4.

Overall, Self is nearing his 500th career victory with a 495-161 record in his 20th season as a head coach. KU is 12-1 in Allen Fieldhouse, 5-1 in road games and 2-1 on neutral courts in 2012-13. Well I'm not superstitious but I do like the idea of separate game threads. Keep most of the trolls in one place when we lose a game like Wednesday. ;)

ArrowheadHawk 02-09-2013 02:48 PM

It could be worse. UNC just lost it's 7th game of the year.

Imon Yourside 02-09-2013 03:04 PM

LOL @ the gooners chanting TCU....How dumb is that?

DJay23 02-09-2013 03:06 PM

That's a lot of dudes packing the paint for OU. Scored against it anyway.

Mr. Laz 02-09-2013 03:06 PM

a little press to start the game

i like it

Imon Yourside 02-09-2013 03:07 PM

all ball there?

Mr. Laz 02-09-2013 03:07 PM

EJ still starting PG

still can't rebound

Mr. Laz 02-09-2013 03:08 PM

OU pressing too

Imon Yourside 02-09-2013 03:08 PM

Ahhhh the moving screen strikes again.

Mr. Laz 02-09-2013 03:08 PM

DJay23 02-09-2013 03:08 PM

What? A moving screen? Who knew?

Mr. Laz 02-09-2013 03:09 PM

Vocal KU crowd in the arena

Mr. Laz 02-09-2013 03:10 PM

Here we go again

Imon Yourside 02-09-2013 03:11 PM

Kevin Young taking 3's? NO NO NO!

DJay23 02-09-2013 03:11 PM

Jesus that possession was horrible.

Reerun_KC 02-09-2013 03:12 PM

Well at least we decided to score earlier this game...

LOL

DJay23 02-09-2013 03:13 PM

Come on EJ, heat up.

Mr. Laz 02-09-2013 03:13 PM

Triple teaming Withey in the paint

pathetic

Imon Yourside 02-09-2013 03:14 PM

Much better so far on offense, the gooners are bound to cool off.

Reerun_KC 02-09-2013 03:14 PM

Glad to see our Perimeter Defense is tightened up...

Mr. Laz 02-09-2013 03:14 PM

EJ's lazy ass on defense allowing open 3's

DJay23 02-09-2013 03:14 PM

I like the aggressiveness. Guys taking shots. Looking good so far offensively. Well I guess it can't be worse than last game.

OU isn't known for shooting 3's, so this is out of their comfort zone.

Mr. Laz 02-09-2013 03:15 PM

again EJ allows his guy a wide open shot

Reerun_KC 02-09-2013 03:15 PM

Brick after Brick for KU... OU not scared of Kansas....

Mr. Laz 02-09-2013 03:15 PM

Why is Withey guarding the big that can shoot 3's again?

I think we have enough energy, just need to focus and let OU cool off. They won't shoot this good all game and that's when we can make our move.

ArrowheadHawk 02-09-2013 03:18 PM

Yes and work the ball around to get a wide open close range shot now and then. Can't continue to jack 3's like crazy, our shooters aren't good enough for that.

KC_Connection 02-09-2013 03:19 PM

OU is playing for a hell of a lot today, their best players (Pledger and Osby) are actually awake unlike the last time these two teams play. If KU wants to win, it won't be easy.

Mr. Laz 02-09-2013 03:20 PM

What happened to our rebounding?

on defense everyone should crash the boards, we shouldn't allow 2/3 shots each trip

Imon Yourside 02-09-2013 03:22 PM

arghhhh, c'mon guys quit trying to do too much.
