In many ways, this could the final nail in our Central Division Title hopes. We are, for all intents and purposes, down 2 games to the Tigers. I see a glimmer of hope that we could take 2 of 3 from DET. But, if you are down 3 games going into the Tigers series, we are done. Detroit is going to sweep Minny. Book it. Unlike us, they aren't shitting their pants when the season is on the line, and their Manager isn't tinkering with their players, because it wouldn't be fair to not use Crowsy in the 6th............

I watched Ned's press conference last night. You could tell he knew he made a mistake by having Crow pitch It would've been nice if he flat-out admitted it, but he always protects his players and I can respect that to an extent. It's unfortunate that it cost us the division.

If Ned gets stuck in traffic, we win.

Or gets run off the road by a red 2014 Chevy Malibu.

We lost the division back in late Aug. when we could not get a 6 or 7 game lead on Detroit before rosters expanded so they could bolster their bull pen. Detroit is more that capable of going on a double digit win streak.

At this point I just want a playoff spot this year so next season may be a little easier to swallow should Shields rejoin Price and become a Tiger next year.
