No shit.

Brady Quinn got CHEERED when he first came in - that cheering started the whole "classless Chiefs fans cheered Cassel's injury".

And he played like SHIT.

This might be the dumbest "theory" she's ever come up with.

Yeah, that was at Arrowhead.

Guess we'll see how they do on the road the next two weeks. Other than the Bengals game, the last four games they've kept the game within 8 points. The worst loss was of the four was the blackout game. :hmmm:

I've been in that stadium many times when the fans screamed their heads off that ended in a loss.

I participated in the playoff game where fans were going to beat Indy by being loud and could feel the bruised blood vessels in my skull for days afterwards.

It's far more likely that the Chiefs were playing another shitty team, and given the events played with more emotion than they've shown in 2 seasons.

You suck.

I don't need anything from this board other than a platform to converse about a topic I enjoy. How people react is their choice, not mine. I can say 99 things that don't get anyone's knickers in a twist. That's not what people focus on. Whatever.

So yeah...it's a coincidence.

Agreed but the past decade has seen less support and more negativity. UNDERSTANDABLY SO but at what point does the negativity become a self fulfilling prophecy.

I simply find it interesting that when this team took the field surrounded by people who were there to support them UNCONDITIONALLY they played better.

So I asked the question.

OK, so explain the years and years and years of very loud crowds and encouragement and they still shit the bed? Were they just trying to piss us off?

They dug deep yesterday, that's all. I'll say that positive encouragement can help, but it's not the only thing... Did the Giants need extra encouragement to come in and beat up after 9/11? Or was our "filling the boot" too much of a distraction from our cheering to will them into a win?

There weren't any Boo's because A) there weren't as many calls for them, and B) it wasn't a good day for it.

I don't think you can simply disregard the fact that the boos not being there and the team knowing they are not going to be subjected to derision is unimportant. Like I pointed out earlier, their worst effort in the last four game was against the Bengals.

Thank you for the rational and thought out response. I agree. However, I do think the team appreciated the reprieve and it showed on the field. Again, my opinion.

It was so quiet during the first moments of this game, no way anyone can say the fans fired the team up. in fact, the team played so calm & collected from start to finish, there were only rare moments they acknowledged cheers of support.

This was not a "emotionally fueled win". It was just the opposite. The Chiefs played their best game since Haley was fired. Fundamentally dismantled the Cats.

Yeah, they looked good from the start. But they also didn't crumble like normal when things started to not go according to plan. THAT was different than most of the games this or the past few.

That's just the thing - everything went according to plan. There was no point where things didn't, so there was no point in the game where they were exposed to their propensity to crubmle. EVERYTHING went right yesterday. Perfect game.

Well there was no penalties or turnovers until late in the game. There were some three and outs and some bad throws, weird time out, strange play calls. Stuff that would normally illicit a cascading of boos.

Oh, I get ya. You are correct, there was no hubbub in the stands. But I was just trying to say the team got that TD first up an led a lot of this game. There were some hitches as mentioned, and yes, there did not seem to be the neg reactions from fans during those times. I tribute this to the fact they weren't losing by 49 ten minutes into the game:D

Again, if they don't like the situation they play in at home, then they should suck it up, get better, and ensure that they don't have to play in a home environment like that ever again.

Sure, but do you want to have to throw more money at someone to compensate for the fact that you have a perceived hostile fan base vs. being considered a top notch place to play because of the fans?

Having the reputation as one of the loudest and most loyal fanbases in the league didn't help positively.

The reputation that counts is a good work environment, and a winning culture.

We have neither.
