Anyone Chiefs fans in Austin, TX?

I moved here a year and a half ago and would love to find a good bar in the Austin area where Chiefs fans congregate on gamedays and such. If not maybe we could start something this season?

Fat Elvis 08-21-2013 10:27 PM

You've been here for four years and you haven't figured this out yet?

DaFace 08-21-2013 10:35 PM

Nope. No Austin Chiefs here.

HoneyBadger 08-21-2013 10:42 PM

You're really not smart.

cdcox 08-21-2013 10:43 PM

Good luck finding anyone who knows anything about Austin bars.

SPchief 08-21-2013 10:49 PM

There might be an App for this. Some Austin Chief fan created it

Dante84 08-21-2013 11:07 PM

Tee hee!!!!

-King- 08-21-2013 11:16 PM

Dunno, If I were you, I'd search for a forum made by a Chiefs fan in Austin. That would probably be your best bet to find an Austin Chief.

Bugeater 08-21-2013 11:19 PM

Nope, nothing but a bunch of gat damn goat roper fans down there.

Setsuna 08-21-2013 11:19 PM

This, but you've got to put the title of the PM in code so bob dole knows it's a planeteer actively seeking his extensive knowledge.

If I recall correctly, the code phrase for this month is "hot pocket concordia"

god speed OP

With no more than this person posts they probably don't know that the originator of this BB lives in the same town. He probably hasn't seen the posters name AustinChief.
But I love the razzing you all have been giving.

bevischief 08-22-2013 06:13 AM

Is water wet?

loochy 08-22-2013 09:27 AM

I think the Chiefs fans in Austin all look like little chubby dudes wearing red police outfits.

No and their are no Killer Clowns either, so don't even ask.

L.A. Chieffan 08-22-2013 11:09 AM

So where do the Chiefs fans in Austin go on game day? Kyles crib?

Screw that noise! If it's a noon game I'm still in bed watching the thing.

A bunch of us used to go to the Tavern for games but I'm not sure anymore. Like I said, I'm usually watching at home while recovering from the night before.

Then how do you recover from the game?

Start the whole cycle over again with more booze. Hopefully this year will give my liver more of a chance to recover than the last few years...

Jmart 08-22-2013 12:10 PM

Go to the Jackelope on 6th Street on gameday, they will have the game on and tons of Chiefs fans will be there.

Do they sacrifice a horse at halftime?

He's in bed. I'm sure he can find something else to do to get his mind off the game.

HBKChiefs 08-22-2013 03:35 PM

Hahaha. Thanks for the "insight" guys.

Jmart, is the Jackelope on 6th really the place to find other Chiefs fans?

Austin Chief, do you really watch the game in bed? I got Sunday Ticket, but I'm too excited to watch the Chiefs lying in bed, regardless of any shenanigans the night before. I always found the best experience is watching with other Chiefs fans...

It depends on when game time is. And most Sundays I feel like I'm lucky to be alive much less awake by noon... I don't press my luck by making plans til at least 1 or so.

As for Jackalope.. I can't imagine a worse place to watch a game... although they have great burgers. Far too many dill holes hang at that bar .. combine that with the fact that the owner is a complete slimebag and you'll rarely find me in that place. Lot's of great people that work there though so it may not be a bad spot on a Sunday afternoon.
