Peyton Manning says he will have MRI on Monday
 

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will have an MRI Monday after being hit in the right knee area late in Sunday’s win vs. San Diego, he told the media after the game, according to the Broncos’ official Twitter feed.

“I’m pretty sore. They kind of got me twice in that lower area…get an MRI tomorrow and will know more then,” Manning said, according to the Broncos.

Manning was limping after being hit by Chargers defensive end Corey Liuget on a pass play in the final two minutes of regulation. Manning was attended to by the Broncos’ medical staff, but he stayed in the game.

I really don't understand why it matters. We need to win the division and have home field advantage to have any shot in the playoffs. I will gladly take a win against Denver at Mile High, no matter how we get it.

It would be fantastic to have a true barometer of how good our team is and all; but setting the path to home field advantage for the playoffs is FAR more important.

I'm definitely not wishing that he'll sit out, but it won't take away anything for me. The goal is to win the AFCW. It's gonna take 13+ wins to do that probably.

That "luck" has the best chance of happening in the playoffs if we're playing our games in Arrowhead. Beating Denver in Denver would go a long ways towards that. Manning sitting makes that exponentially more possible.

Meh. I think I would rather face a hobbled Manning. We see how this defense does against backup quarterbacks with no tape on them. Osweiller will still have Thomas, Thomas, Welker and Decker to throw to. And he will no doubt be more mobile than the old man.

I'm on the fence about it, many of us wanted a Manning injury before the season was out so we would have a greater chance at winning the division and hopefully home field advantage throughout the playoffs. I want the backup QB carousel to stop because I want to see what this defense is like against the best of the best, but with Indy getting destroyed today, Manning banged up, I don't think that will happen until the playoffs.

I'm content with seeing what this defense has against the best of the best, in the playoffs, at Arrowhead. Until then, just win.
