Tony Gonzalez

That's it for Tony G. Hate to see it, but he's going out on top, no slip in his game at all. Best TE ever. Get out before you take one too many blows to the head, or get your ACL shredded. I don't recall him ever having a really bad injury, which is pretty rare. He's a class act, he's bound to wind up in broadcasting if that's what he wants. He seems like a natural for it. At least he got a playoff win.

I still can't believe we blew a ****ing 28 point lead in 2nd half. :banghead:

He's a warrior. Always had a great attitude. Never threw fits on the sidelines. Best TE to ever play the game.

GloryDayz 01-26-2014 10:03 PM

Indeed. Best ever. I wish we coul dhave found a way to keep him...

Cornstock 01-26-2014 10:05 PM

Met him once, humble as hell. That can be tough when you're the best ever.

ThaVirus 01-26-2014 10:05 PM

Best hands catcher I've ever seen.

Rasputin 01-26-2014 10:05 PM

I just hope he takes over Twannon Twarps job.

It's pretty bad though that he only has one playoff winning game under his belt and all those records he holds at TE. I bet he would trade some of those for a championship.

Well..bye

My last memory of him will be his dunking the football over the goalpost... while wearing a Falcons uni and the crowd booing him.

He had to work at that. I remember him dropping a ton of passes his first few years with us. But he overcame that in a huge way, obviously.

That was uncool.

Today in the interview he said he could come back.

If we are short in TE and then I can envision him here.

Wat. He gave a definitive "no way in hell I'm coming back" during an interview today.

The first year or two I wondered what everyone else seemed to think of him. I wasn't sure he was any better than Cash at that point. Proved me wrong!

The best Chief I've seen. I don't blame him for leaving, he was looking at wasting his twilight years inside the Croyle/Thigpen/Huard crap vortex. I'm surprised he didn't retire after a season of that.

TG was a good player. I don't get the manlove for him though. He was a good player and that was about it. I would put him in the top 5 greatest players I've ever seen. DT was the best. He could win a game by himself.

DT was just a bit before my time. I'll even go so far as to say Tony G was the best athlete I've seen on a team I support. #2 would go to Carlos Beltran, and there's a steep drop off from there.
