Pitch Perfect 2

I'll admit, I was very impressed with the first when I saw it on video... so I'll probably see this one too. It helps that I love Anna Kendrick.

Ditto. I still keep my man card.

Molitoth 11-20-2014 01:57 PM

The first one was great.

Gravedigger 11-20-2014 02:00 PM

This and Bridesmaids were overrated comedies.

Fat Patricia.

The Franchise 11-20-2014 02:11 PM

My wife loves the first one. I have no problem watching it because of Anna Kendrick. Same goes for this one.

DaFace 11-20-2014 02:23 PM

I don't exactly feel very manly about it, but I enjoyed the first one and will probably see the second. I'm a sucker for a cappella music (even when it's overproduced).

DaFace 11-20-2014 02:27 PM

Also - ROFL at Clay Matthews being in a flick like that.

He got a nice check for that. ROFL

There are several chicks in this I would love to see with less clothing. Anna Kendrick, Brittney Snow, Anna Camp, and especially Alexis Knapp.

Women seem to LOVE this flick. I really enjoyed parts, especially the competition between the teams in the outdoor common area, which included cool mashups. But otherwise, it was pretty dopey.

Anna's been so busy that I haven't seen her all year.

hometeam 11-20-2014 04:50 PM

I liked this movie.

My sales manager is gonna shit, Pitch Perfect was his "Frozen".

Pablo 11-21-2014 01:50 PM

My wife watched the first one about twenty times I think. I watched it with her once; and I thought it was pretty good for what it was.

She told me about this last night and was pretty amped up.

SuperChief 11-22-2014 11:11 AM

I can't wait to see this. I've seen the first one quite a few times. Like DaFace, I'm a sucker for a cappella music.

Hootie 11-22-2014 03:20 PM

can't wait

ROFL seriously???

Deberg_1990 11-23-2014 11:00 PM

Will we get a 'cup song part II' ?

Katipan 11-24-2014 11:20 PM

Hi girls!

Kidd Lex 11-25-2014 11:43 AM

Count me in, no hater-aid, love the little pip squeak from Workaholics and Anna is a 10/10 as far as girls next door who do blow go

Hawk 11-26-2014 12:27 PM

Permanent surrender of man card I guess, but I really liked the first one and thought it was hysterical. Wife and kids loved it so I have seen it a bunch of times. I like the music, and there are several hot girls, and I thought it was funny throughout, especially Fat Amy who has a ton of great lines. Looking forward to the sequel, and will definitely see it in the theaters with wife and kids (surrendering man card now).

Same here. Seen it a bunch, but never saw the original until it was on HBO.

What if there are two girls, but they only use one cup?

I never would have watched it (in fact had never heard of it) but I was headed out one saturday night and I always check the new HBO show. It sounded lame but it had Kendrick so I thought I'd check it out.

It was really very entertaining. I could do without the vomit angel scene tho..
It's weird seeing the hot red head back. The last show ended as if the seniors moved on and the next season would be without them. That redhead is pretty damn fine though so no complaints.

Based on the trailer, looks like it is an international competition this time as opposed to a college group competition. Seems like an obvious device to bring back the blonde and the redhead who were the seniors so they can be in the sequel.

Should be entertaining. Of course I have seen all five Step Up movies as well, so my tastes are not very highbrow. I enjoy the group singing and dancing performances in movies like these when they are done well (dammit, there goes the man card again).

The wife and I saw this over the weekend. It was enjoyable. It's not as good as the first, but if you liked the first, you'll enjoy the second.

Agreed on all counts. They're making a Pitch Perfect 3 as well, FWIW.

Mrs. FMB! and I said as soon as the credits rolled they set it up for a franchise. And one they can do without the high cost of their stars.

BWillie 06-11-2015 01:16 PM

It was pretty funny. Didn't quite understand why the male announcer turned sexist and racist, he wasn't in the first one, and how all of a sudden he is? Some of that seemed kinda stupid.

Sure he was. Maybe not overtly racist, but it's not hard to make that leap for the character.

John: And from an all-female group, Gail. I could never have called this one.
Gail: Never. Well, you are a misogynist at heart, so there's no way you would have bet on these girls to win.
John: Absolutely.

I watched the trailer and was sure I had seen that German "bad" guy before in something. Then it hit me:

I wish that German Group was a real thing, they were really really good. Wat better than the Bellas.

kcfanXIII 06-13-2015 05:01 PM

This was hilarious.

Coochie liquor 06-13-2015 08:32 PM

Gimme some of that Fat Amy. No, give me the whole thing!!

kcfanXIII 06-15-2015 09:46 AM

Really, this movie made me laugh so hard, I can't believe it. The music doesn't suck either. The German group is really good, and get creative with some good music.

Hawk 06-16-2015 10:14 AM

Fat Amy in the opening "Muffgate" sequence and in the canoe part was just fricking hysterical. I love these movies, they crack me up, and the musical performances are great. The German group was good, but the Trebelmakers are still my favorite. They only got one song in this movie (I wish they'd shown one more from them), but it was probably my favorite one of the movie. After the movie I kept walking around singing "Sucking too hard on a lollipop" and my wife would just look at me like I'm nuts.

I'm game for a PP3 as long as Fat Amy is in it (which she will be, her and Anna Kendrick have already signed up for PP3).
