The Chiefs gave up 328 passing yards in this game. 47% of those yards came when the Buccaneers targeted Stanford Routt who allowed 154 yards on four completions.

Routt's only gonna get worse...

Palmer, Rivers, Roethlisberger...next three games should be a doozy!

This was a horrible, disgusting signing.

PFF update:

-3.1 yesterday. LMAO

-4.8 for the year.

Ranked 85th out of 99 CBs.

Routted

It all began reasonably well for Stanford Routt (-3.1) as he held his own for four weeks. It started to go south against Baltimore in the last game with a couple of penalties and some pretty tepid run defense but here it was his pass coverage that was held up to a fairly harsh spotlight. He allowed four of six passes to be completed into his coverage for 154 yards and the first touchdown. Sure he was a bit unlucky on the 62 yarder to Tiquan Underwood but let’s not forget him getting beat badly by Vincent Jackson with 4:59 gone in the second only for the ex-Charger to fail to locate a reasonably well thrown pass in the air.

To add insult, some of the angles he took in trying to chase down ball carriers were poor, meaning that overall this will not be a day he looks back on with any pride.

I didn't have any expectations for him to be good. He has met my expectations.

the Talking Can 10-15-2012 02:34 PM

he was signed for the same reasons hillis and quinn were...cheap, essentially one year contract

Stanford Routt is a poor man's Donald Washington

mcaj22 10-15-2012 03:36 PM

all you ****s that called me an idiot yesterday can suck it. Since most of you jerk off PFF for every other player than Routt is no different. And PFF certainly says he is garbage

BigChiefFan 10-15-2012 05:08 PM

He's trash.

Brandon Carr had 4 games in the red total his last two seasons here.

Routt has two in six games.

I called you an idiot for piling on over the 2 big plays. I'll call PFF idiots for piling on over those plays. They were great/lucky catches made in good coverage and weren't Routt's fault.

If you want to debate past games or other plays that's another matter. The two big plays in question were not his fault. He did his job and got unlucky.

Dumbass piling on in this thread, if it isn't about the inept GM/Coaching Staff/QB we shouldn't be discussing it. Routt is Fine.
