It all began reasonably well for Stanford Routt (-3.1) as he held his own for four weeks. It started to go south against Baltimore in the last game with a couple of penalties and some pretty tepid run defense but here it was his pass coverage that was held up to a fairly harsh spotlight. To add insult, some of the angles he took in trying to chase down ball carriers were poor, meaning that overall this will not be a day he looks back on with any pride.

I didn't have any expectations for him to be good. He has met my expectations.

he was signed for the same reasons hillis and quinn were...cheap, essentially one year contract

I called you an idiot for piling on over the 2 big plays. I'll call PFF idiots for piling on over those plays. They were great/lucky catches made in good coverage and weren't Routt's fault.

If you want to debate past games or other plays that's another matter. The two big plays in question were not his fault. He did his job and got unlucky.
