Arnold Schwarzenegger Boarding Zombie Project ‘Maggie'

Arnold Schwarzenegger is turning to the zombie world, signing on to star in and produce “Maggie.”

Project, based on the Black List script by John Scott 3, is set at a time when a “walking dead” virus which has spread across the country. Schwarzenegger, who recently closed a deal to appear in the fifth “Terminator,” will portray the father on a journey to help his daughter come to terms with her infection as she slowly becomes a zombie.

The film will be directed by commercial director Henry Hobson. Production will commence in the fall.

Schwarzenegger is showing no signs of slowing down as he continues ramping up his film career following his seven years as California governor.

He will be seen in Lionsgate’s “Escape Plan” in October and David Ayer’s “Breacher,” formerly “Ten,” which Open Road launches in January. In addition to the next “Terminator,” which is aiming for a first quarter start, Schwarzenegger is reprising his role in the third “Expendables” and developing “Pump,” a drama he recently sold to Showtime.

Silver Reel and Lotus Entertainment have partnered with Silverlining Media Group and Gold Star films to produce and finance “Maggie.” Schwarzenegger will also produce with Pierre-Ange Le Pogam, Matt Baer, Trevor Kaufman, Colin Bates and Joey Tufaro.

Bill Johnson, Jim Seibel, Ara Keshishian, Hubert Gibbs, Claudia Bluemhuber and John Scott 3 are executive producing.

Chloe Moretz had been in negotiations last year to play the zombie lead but she is not appearing due to scheduling issues.

CAA is repping domestic rights to “Maggie.” Lotus, which was formed this year by execs from Inferno, is selling international rights.

Schwarzenegger is repped by CAA. Hobson is also repped by CAA and Caliber Media.

They're making a fifth Terminator movie? Jesus.

In the future, why would they make a geriatric version of the T 800?

Until he does that i dont give damn what he's doing, another Terminator? snore, he's too old and wrinkly to pull that off again.

How is he not too old an wrinkly to try and pull off a Conan flick?

Maybe once he became king or something to that effect.

Terminator? Seriously? Is this part two of the Salvation series or picking up where 3 left off?

Well... giving them the benefit of the doubt, it could work if Arnold was playing the original solder or something that the terminator was modeled after...

It about has to be for this to work.

That, or a ton of CGI.

He would be perfect at this age to play the grizzled old king on his throne that we see at the end of Conan.
