Six suicides by NFL players in the last two years.
And now seven.

no more rope -- that could save one life.

When did the Nashville Predators join the NFL?
|
Rates among NFL players need to be compared to the rates that occur in the normal population.
For example 53 roster spots, 32 teams, each spot being turned over every 4 years on average for 40 years gives a suicide rate of around 20 per 100,000 people per year, which is in the ballpark of suicide rates among US males. I'm not saying that there is nothing to this, but it is way too early to jump to any conclusions. |
And Pioli knew about all 7 before they happened.

He was a filthy Avalanche Defensiveman player (sorry, Packard, it's true) and then played for multiple teams in the NHL. He was the third in a string of suicides in the NHL over a 4 month span. But I do believe that Pioli probably knew about it and tried to cover it up. |

I blame Pioli for 9-11. Also, we need better Plane control. You can only buy a plane if you've passed a psyche exam.

The Belak incident wasn't suicide. Accidental.

But, as I read in another post, banning rope holds a lot of promise for saving lives all over the world... |
