Old movies that bring back nostalgic memories
 

I'm watching the original Karate Kid movie, and it surprises me how much I'm enjoying it. It just really brings me back to when I was a kid --- I was 11 when this came out. Sweep the leg is still a phrase that is iconic, but the Daniel san and Mr. Miyagi relationship was good stuff. And what teenage boy wasn't in love with Elizabeth Shue?

All that said, what movies have you seen as an adult that really took you back to when you were a kid? I sometimes assume these old movies won't hold up, but it's not really about that when nostalgia is involved.

Saw Porky's a couple of days ago while working out. Brought back a lot of memories.

Loved that movie when I was a young teen.

Murder By Death, The atmosphere in that movie is still incredible.

Probably Goonies. It's really a pretty horrible movie now, but i really loved it as a kid.

LOL. That was on some cable channel the other night. Had to stop and watch a few minutes of the shower scene.

Ha, that shower scene was the stuff of legends when I was a kid.

Ahhhh....nothing like the original Friday the 13th or Halloween to bring back those nightmares I had as a child.
