Metal is one of those genres that I sort of follow, but I depend on a lot of year end lists to go through and pick out the bands/albums that sound great to me.

So, this album by Elder called Lore is a lot of what I like in metal. Genre-blurring. Draws on a lot of prog and psychedelic with some ambient down tempo mixed in with the groovier riffs.

Agreed, definitely a top show experience for me.

Bongripper's over-the-top instrumental power jam was the perfect setup and SLEEP absolutely killed it. They sounded incredible. Wish I had tickets to tonight's show.

Bongripper and Sleep. I think that would be my dream show right now.

On a slightly more mellow note, I've been listening to All Them Witches a ton lately. Very, very good!
