Knile Davis

Okay, so I was pretty pissed when we took this kid. On paper, he has a shit ton of fumbles and Moeaki-like ankle.

However... watching this highlight tape, albeit from 2010, gave me wood.

2 RB's with 4.3 speed is not a bad thing. He runs hard, is tough to bring down, and has blazing speed. God forbid JC goes down at all, our entire offensive scheme wont have to be completely altered.

I don't like WHERE he was picked, but I'm glad he's a Chief, so long as he can bring this to the table:

im excited about the pick for sure.

It just makes no sense that we'd pick him there if we were targeting barkley. Or else the Eagles were the idiots for not realizing we had just reached for a RB and were obviously not going to get barkley with 4.2

Deberg_1990 04-28-2013 06:15 PM

Reid has had some success drafting RBs in the middle rounds.

Simply Red 04-28-2013 06:16 PM

the holes are as big as Paula Dean's clitoris.

Messier 04-28-2013 06:22 PM

Reid said they weren't targeting Barkley. I don't know if was being honest, but he said they were going Nico even if Barkley was there.

I thought this was interesting...saw it on the footballsfuture.com forum.

Speed Score is a metric NFL Scouts use to project how much power and speed a running back has and how well that running back will perform in the NFL.You should note that the Speed Score is not the end-all, be-all. For instance, the all-time leading rusher, Emmitt Smith had a Speed Score of around 96.5.

Why is it important?
It's built on the simple idea that, because smaller backs tend to run faster than larger backs, we should be more impressed by a 4.5-second 40-yard dash from a 220-pound back than the same clock reading from a 170-pound back.

How Scoring works:
Quote:
An average score for a running back is 100. A good score is 110 and a great score is 120.

Disclaimer:
This is not the end all be all of tape, this is simply another way to show how speed and weight benefit or harm prospects coming out. For the record, the only running back since 1999 to be drafted with a score under 98 and make a pro-bowl is Brian Westbrook...Alfred Morris, is close to him in terms of production, having a score of 92.

Knile Davis, Arkansas- 126.79

***Knile Davis is the highest score since 1999, but not best of all time, that is Bo Jackson and his score of 147.8.

they always are in highlight vids

Jonathan Franklin would have been a better pick from where I am sitting. Better lateral agility, quickness, vision, hands and pass blocking.

I think they wanted a bigger back.

Hootie 04-28-2013 06:39 PM

kinda runs like scurry lurry

Hog's Gone Fishin 04-28-2013 06:43 PM

If we can keep Albert and fisher is a RT probowler this is going to be ****ing awesome to watch !!

Just Awesome! and everybody else they drafted this year are the best blocking draftees anywhere ,anytime, ever.

We're going to run for 10,000 yards and break every record in the books. they're going to have to print new books just for Chiefs rushing records.

I love the pick. But if he and Charles have a fumbling contest it won't be good.

Exactly, but with 4.3 speed...

DTLB58 04-28-2013 06:49 PM

Reminds me of Eric Dickerson because of the upright style and speed.
This guy can flat out burn past people just like ED did. Problem with that style, is taking hits, staying healthy.
