Why do my benchings ever work?
Every time I bench a guy for poor play the come on with a monster game. I dropped Bowe in week 2 thinking Stevie Johnson would have a big game against us. This week I had Charles who has been pretty mediocre so far that I replaced with Sproles. Him in the lineup today would have been game over. Guess that's why I'm 0-2 so far. That and the fact that every team I play outplays their projected numbers by 50%.

ditto
i benched ryan for newton this week and charles for bush lost about 50 points |
Maybe because, based on the thread title, you have trouble with reading and writing?
"ever" doens't really fit :) But don't feel bad I benched Fitz this week. Luckily Amendola was serviceable this week. Last week I benched Spiller but just held on for the victory. |
Looks like I'll lose again. Only three of my starters played up to their projected numbers. Had I put Charles in for Sproles, the game wouldn't have been even close.

I'm having the same problem. I've benched guys because they were performing poorly, or listed as questionable.
I benched Charles today thinking he hasn't done shit all year, and he scores 34.8 points. Last week I benched Nicks because he was listed as Q, and he scores 25.9 points. I also benched Adrian Peterson(Q), and he scores 20.7 points. I benched RGIII for weeks 1 and 2, and he scores 25 and 31.44 points. I learned my lesson this week and played RGIII. I'll still probably end up losing. |
I try not to bench players based on production until after the first four weeks. For example, I have been starting Gresham, but was VERY tempted to bench him this week. And then he gets 6 catches, 75 yards, and a TD.
YOu drafted them to be starters for a reason. Can't overreact too early. Overreacting is how I picked up Wes Welker actually. Although, I'm not trading for someone like Chris Johnson yet (who I WOULD be panicing on, since he is not producing while he IS getting the ball). |
