Today 12/27 Mel Kiper says.......
Mel says Mike Glennon will be the first QB taken in the 2013 draft and he could be picked in the top 10. He says alot of things could and will change as the draft approaches but as of right now he thinks the Chiefs should trade out of the top spot if they can and if they can't they should take Luke Joeckel with the first pick. He also say the Jaguars should trade down also but if they can't they should take a DE with their first pick.
|
This is not going to end well.
|
No way he goes 1st.
|
Peyton Manning
|
yeah... there's something fishy afoot here. what the **** does he see in glennon?!?
|
what round will Kiper's hair be drafted in?
|
Once the real evaluators tell Mel he doesn't know shit he will change his rankings.
|
Die Kiper

Regardless, you guys picked a bad year to suck. This class of QB's looks like crap. |
Mel like Glennon's size 6'5" and arm strength. He said something about his escapabilty but I didn't catch that part.
|
Who the **** is going to trade up to #1 if there isn't a player worthy of a 2-14 team to take #1?
Kiper is reeruned. |
Don't worry, the actual scouts haven't started working yet.
Once they do, Kiper will fall in line. He's just the absolute worst. |

Who the hell mel kiper and why he think he know what the chiefs want.i swear the hair gel making him stupider.

Ha ha, the Chiefs suck.

(yeah, no shit we suck. old ****ing news.) |

I like the fact that he thinks the Chiefs should pass on QB because none of them are elite yet he thinks they should settle for Joeckel. Geno Smith might not be Andrew Luck but Luke Joeckel isn't even in the same hemisphere as Orlando Pace. |

Wait...so a QB who put up okay numbers at best in the ACC is all of the sudden better than Geno who put up RG3 numbers in the same league that RG3 put up RG3 numbers to earn him the second overall pick for a team that traded the farm to get him? Riiiiggggghhhhtttt.

How often has kiper been right again?

"There isn't an elite QB in this draft!!!!.....so take the mediocre tackle instead." Geno Smith is as close to elite as there is at any position in this draft except for maybe DT and DE (depending on what you think of Werner and Jarvis Jones). Joekel may not even be the prospect that Jake Long was and Long is pretty replaceable. It's just appalling how shallow the analysis has been so far. |

Is Mel sleeping with Mike Glennon mom LMAO my goodness
|
I remember when Mel said last year that RGIII was 3rd round WR and when Ricky Stanzi was a solid starter in the NFL
|
It would almost be worth drafting this joeckal guy to see the nuclear meltdown that would occur here. Almost.
|
Who the **** would our QB be? Alex Smith? And what would his contract look like compared to the cost of keeping Albert?
|
Just a couple of Mel Kiper's awesome thoughts....

People need to realize that we aren't going to draft a QB #1 overall so it needs to stop now. I think Pioli is going to get Star or Manti Teo, both would be excellent picks. Then we can get a QB in the 4th or 5th rds to compete with Quinn and Cassel after we address our needs at OL and WR with the 2nd and 3rd rd picks.
|

|
At this point, I think the best option is to trade down, trade down, trade down and stockpile picks for the 2014 and 2015 drafts. Chiefs should make it a goal to have 6 picks in the first three rounds in each of the the next two drafts.

I wouldn't ****ing care if we took QBs with our first 3 ****ing picks. |

Btw around this time last year, Kiper had Landry Jones at #4 overall on his big board.
Robert Griffin III? 24th overall. |
we should wait to get the QB that is a sure thing.

but wouldn't that make the best QB even more vaulable?

Plus there's this one.... https://twitter.com/onetwo_GS |
I'm going through his Twitter feed. He reposts all the hate talk...awesome. Most of it has to do with the Chiefs taking him. This guy is going to come in with a chip on his shoulder.
|
Kiper's probably partially right. I bet Glennon does go in the first round, and possibly in the top 10.
It's become painfully obvious that without a plus player at QB you can't win in the NFL. This makes every team that doesn't have one desperate to get one. Thusly, QB's will rise up the chart and leapfrog more 'day one ready' players because they are MORE IMPORTANT. No ILB is more important than a plus QB. |

I thought Kiper said he was arguably the 2nd best QB in this class, no?? |

All of these pundits just throw shit at the wall and see what sticks anyway...
Here's what Kiper had to say...about Jamarcus Russel: "JaMarcus Russell is going to immediately energize that fanbase, that football team -- on the practice field, in that locker room," ESPN's Mel Kiper said at the time. "Three years from now you could be looking at a guy that's certainly one of the elite top five quarterbacks in this league. ...You're talking about a 2-3 year period once he's under center. Look out because the skill level that he has is certainly John Elway-like." Dead on with that one. |

I wonder how Mayock's drafts compare to Kiper's.
I watch NFL network for anything draft related. |
Mel is being weird here. But weirdly enough this guy also ranks Glennon as the top QB.

Oh and, **** OFF |
Mayock on Blaine Gabbert.

I've been saying for MONTHS that once Mayock comes out with his top 5s, everyone else will fall in line.
Kiper is a follower, not a leader. |

College athletes have a difficult time verifying their accounts.
I think Johnny football is 1 of 2 athletes to have their accounts verified. In most cases I think the agents are the ones who verify their accounts and obviously these guys don't have agents yet (supposedly lol). One of the guys I follow said he verified through someone at WVU that the one I just posted is his real account. |

Not to mention that before he declared that he wasn't entering the draft, Kiper had Landry Jones as his number 4 overall player last year.
|
Mike Mayock's QB rankings from January 2011.
Quarterback: *1. Blaine Gabbert, Missouri 2. Jake Locker, Washington *3. Cam Newton, Auburn *4. Ryan Mallett, Arkansas T-5. Andy Dalton, TCU T-5. Ricky Stanzi, Iowa T-5. Colin Kaepernick, Nevada T-5. Pat Devlin, Delaware |
Last time I agreed with Mel Kiper ? Never!
Now I will give Kiper credit, Glennon will go 1st rd, but later in the 1st round. Depending on his work outs, 4th or 5th QB taken. |
I don't know why, but
When I think of Mike Glennon, I think of this guy....

So there's nobody there worth the CHIEFS taking but somebody is going to trade multiple picks to get one? |
Kiper's pre-combine rankings......
RGIII - 24th overall player Vontaze Burfict - 15th overall player - "Great instincts, makes plays sideline to sideline and is far more disciplined than he gets credit for." Landry Jones - 4th overall player |

As a matter of fact, I would not be pissed if the Chiefs drafted QB with their first two picks. |
Last year a QB was not taken #1 overall. 2008
I wonder if the Dolphins wish they had taken Matt Ryan instead of Jake Long? |
who da **** is mike glennon
