Chunt hired the highest rated prospect. Maybe he thought that would take care of itself. He paid for it.

He cares but he is not a fan. We want to be like the top franchises as a fan but that is not reality in a business world. Yeah, yeah win and get rich. They can stay status quo and make money.

Maybe they stay rich by playing the odds and not with the heart.

It is hard to separate business when you are a fan but wanting to emulate 4 teams out of 32 is not good odds for the profit and businessmen that run the NFL.

Is it, in part, because Clark Hunt seems as distant from this team as his dad seemed connected to it? Because where Lamar walked Arrowhead with a folksy connectedness and everyman-look, Clark travels with a personal assistant who seems to be trying too hard to play a character from the movie Wall Street?
Absolutely nailed it. Our owner is a chunt. And clearly, Kansas City is no Columbus for Clark.

I'm still trying to figure out how Winston knows why people were cheering or how he was somehow endowed with the ability to know that EVERYONE at Arrowhead today was celebrating anything but Quinn getting a shot at QB.

What's really amazing to me is that the players seem to have adopted the same coddling behavior as the coach and GM. At least Winston seems to think it's more important not to hurt Cassel's feelings then it is to win and that's damn discouraging.

Winston was ASSUMING the fans were cheering when Cassel got hurt.

Why do you suppose he would assume that? :hmmm:

He was a little emotional after the game. But he's not stupid. He KNOWS Cassel sucks.

Good point. Just him making that assumption is rather damning...

well according to Trent Dilfer this morning, he claims that when the individuals on the team perform badly, they feel badly because they let the other team members down. They don't feel badly for the fans who paid thier money.

It looks like the fans were cheering the rare 1st down and again when Cassel made it to his feet. Winston needs to man up about this.

It is the only cheering KCTV5 could find looking through raw footage of Sunday night's game.

Look at the right side of the video. That is Dwayne Bowe urging the crowd to cheer and it responds.

Imon Yourside 10-08-2012 07:45 AM

Winston < Pwned...TIme to man up oh team leader.

InChiefsHeaven 10-08-2012 07:50 AM

Indeed. This video proves it. There might have been some assholes close to the field cheering for the injury, and that's what he heard, but this audio proves that the crowd was NOT cheering the injury.

Winston is a ****ing moron. If he mans up and apologizes, fine. I get that it was a very emotional day. Just admit you said something stupid out of anger and frustration. Otherwise GTFO.

It's such fuycking bullshit. I was at the game, sitting in section 104, and there was NO ONE cheering that Cassel got hurt. They cheered that we got a first down, and cheered when Cassel walked off the field - like you would for any injured Chief walking off the field after an injury. Period. Fuyck Eric Winston, and the rest of that offense for talking out of their asses, and playing like a bunch of shit bags yesterday. He heard what he wanted to hear, and his perception wasn't even close to reality on people "cheering" because Matty got hurt. BULLSHIT!

yea what they said .....

Well, your dumbass friend just jumped into the pool with this fanbase in his pocket. He can perform an uncomfortable martial act upon himself which is frowned heavily upon in the Old Testament.

GMs, Coaches & players take a dump on cities, teams and fan bases every year in exchange for money, or for a better team. Our loyalty to them is supposed to be until death do us part.

Coaches and players come and go, and so do sportswriters. The only constant for a team are the fans. WE deserve better. Chiefs, #get a clue
