Really amazed S Illinois got a BCS bid. That is a team that got beat by the worst Iowa team in over a decade, and barely beat a 1 win Kansas team. They are not good. The Boise States of the world at least passed the eye test but the Salukis look mediocre.

It's Northern Illinois. Southern Illinois isn't FBS.

The best team in the country is one of those 4. Probably #2 or #3.

#5 got bombed by an also ran and dutifully exposed relatively speaking.

Not that we need to worry about that. Don't forget to set your DVR for what should be an epic OB! Not to mention what it does to the Sugar Bowl, swapping out what would be Fla/OU for Fla/Louisville <--------zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

The BCS is a laughingstock.

I'd never watch that, I'll tell you that much.

I ROFL'd

I don't really blame him. It's Northern Ill. No one knows who they are. What do you think they draw....15kish to most games.

Couldn't be more irrelevant.

I do. They play about 45 minutes from my house.

But yeah, they're pretty irrelevant.

RustShack 12-02-2012 09:31 PM

Jesus ****. Northern Illinois might be the worst team to EVER make a BCS Bowl.

RustShack 12-02-2012 09:36 PM

Kirk Herbstreit- "NIU lost to Iowa, the worst team in the Big10."

Louisiana Tech screwed themselves out of a bowl game by not immediately accepting their Independence Bowl offer.

Then the SID lied about it on twitter (more or less).

Being in the Orange Bowl means NIU must purchase 17,500 tickets. NIU's average attendance for the season was 15,670.
