Weird Redskins Pre-Game Accident
 

I don't know if either of them played or not, but this was weird. NFL Network said that Robinson was actually knocked unconscious.

Matt Cassel must've thrown the pass, though I don't know why he would've been there.

Washington Redskins wide receiver Aldrick Robinson and strong safety Brandon Meriweather were injured during an odd pregame collision.

Robinson and Meriweather were in the end zone during warmups and Robinson bent over to pick up a football and as he stood up, Meriweather’s left knee struck the receiver’s head, according to people who were on the field at the time.

Both players initially went down after the collision. Meriweather, who has been sidelined all season with a strained MCL and PCL in the same knee, limped to the locker room. Robinson remained down on the field longer and was tended to by Redskins trainers and Tampa Bay medical staff. Eventually, Robinson was helped up and he walked slowly to the locker room.

There is no word yet on either player’s availability for the game.

I don't believe either of them played.

Who threw the ball? I ask because you don't see anybody coming over to check if they're okay. It's like nobody even sees them. But somebody had to see them because they threw the ball.

The written account and the video don't match up.

Who cares. The plan is set. Someone needs to scatter some wrappers in the endzone and Daboll needs to practice a trick play where Cassel runs down field for a bomb. When Pioli drops his head to look at the jolly ranchers - BANG. He and Cassel go down. Winning. Profit!

No one running to aid them, I guess they thought they were joking

This was also shown on the end of the SNF game when NBC was talking about major injuries and they showed that clip at the end, and it was a freak accident.
