Just switched to Note III

and most of my music is kept through iTunes. This isn't a problem as I've already done my homework and used iSyncr to port music to my new phone. Problem is, anything I bought between 2006 and 2008 is DRM'ed and iSyncr won't send it over.

A cursory search suggests that I *pay* $25/year to iMatch so I can redownload the DRM'ed files on the pretense that this should make them freely available. I remain skeptical.

Does anyone have any advice on what I should do?

But how do you like the note 3? I need to upgrade my phone (without a new contract, mind you) and I am trying to decide between the Note 3 and the LG G2. I am also thinking I will wait til black friday just in case they put one on a crazy good deal.

Did you try double twist?

I use Winamp to transfer music to my SG3. It should pull the music from Itunes on your PC to Winamp on your PC. Then you can transfer music to your phone over wifi. I am not sure how it handles drm.

I have been waiting for Black Friday deals to upgrade to the Note 3. Last year T mobile announced theirs shortly after I bought my SG3. It was a pain to return the phone and re-purchase it. It was worth the $150 I saved.

I am hoping for the announcement soon. The phone looks to be a beast. I am concerned with some reviews of the camera though. And, the size.

I too have read the iMatch thing and from my experience, it does work. I did it well over a year ago though so I'm basing it on what I remember and things may have changed.

From what I recall, I signed up for iTunes Match and let it do it's thing, matching all my songs. Then, when it was completely done, I deleted all of my music from iTunes (made sure I had a backup). Once that was done, iTunes still showed the songs as "available". Then, I just re-downloaded them.

All of iTunes music is DRM free now. So when the match happens, they're matching it to DRM free versions, when is what gets downloaded when you re-download all of your music. There's a column that you can add in your iTunes view that will show you what kind it is. I think a DRM'd song will show as "Protected".

Have you tried Sharepod?

http://www.getsharepod.com/

It will allow you to simply copy all your music from iTunes to a separate folder. It doesn't care about DRM. Export it to another folder with Sharepod, then add it to your Note.

Loving it so far. Perfect size for me and I love the fact the battery can be removed and you can add storage space on a SD card.
