God **** You, Biostar

Cocksucking motherboard was DOA, and now, thanks to NewEgg's cockamamie return policy, I have to wait almost two ****ing weeks to get a replacement and pay return shipping for a product that was as useful as a sack of rat shit.

Check that; I could have at least sent the sack of rat shit to Biostar hoping that there were live plague bacteria in it.

Thank you, NewEgg, for a truly Piolian experience.

Unlucky.

fortunately I have never had to RMA.

It does not sound pleasant.

Newegg's return policy has ensured that I will never buy from them again.

Yeah, I'm done with newegg on computer parts as well,. Their return policy is a joke.

Amazon has pretty much ruined all other online retailers for me. When FedEx ****ed up and couldn't get one of the Christmas gifts I ordered to me on time, Amazon refunded the order entirely and re-ordered the item to be sent directly to the person I was giving it to without blinking.

I really don't understand why other retailers don't do everything they can to keep customers happy - especially when it doesn't cost them much. (They have our CC info after all and can always charge us if the return doesn't go through right.)

JBucc 01-19-2014 02:22 PM

I just use newegg to browse parts since they're more organized than Amazon. Then when I find something I want I search for it on Amazon and buy it there, usually the prices are the same.

Ragged Robin 01-19-2014 02:24 PM

Shit happens. I've never had to RMA anything so far.

Amazon is taking over the world

oh well...hindsight is 50/50. :D

Nothing wrong with Biostar. They make good budget boards, they simply don't make high end boards. Every company has DOA products every now and then.

Overpriced for the most part.

This.

I've been an avid user of MSI over the years. They are also a "budget" manufacturer and I've had some issues with DOA products but for the most part, they are solid and the price difference is worth it.

I've built systems with boards from ASUS, Gigabyte, Biostar, ECS, and a few others.

After the cap plague, there haven't been many manufacturers that just produced out and out shit.

This board is one of them. The only hindsight is buying that board, as the NewEgg reviews are split evenly between 5* and "DOA". DOA reviews will always been overrepresented in computer reviews, so I took a chance, only to get ****ed.
