Dan Connolly - the new X Factor?
Run DMC got nothing on Dan Connolly.
Quote:
The NFL honored New England Patriots offensive lineman Dan Connolly with the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his historic 71-yard kickoff return in Sunday night’s win over the Green Bay Packers. Connolly’s second quarter runback set a new record for the longest return by a offensive lineman in NFL history, surpassing Mal Snider previous long with the Atlanta Falcons in 1969 by 23 yards.
The play also set up a crucial 3-yard TD pass to tight end Aaron Hernandez that narrowed the Patriots deficit to three points right before halftime.
Connolly is the first offensive lineman to be awarded the honor since Langston Walker of the Raiders won it in Week 12 of the 2004 season for blocking a field goal.
