Maybe instead of putting in the effort to post about it multiple times wanting someone else to tell you you should put the effort in to find out for yourself

That's a good story, man. Good memories.

So your argument is that Jack Clark completely lose track of the pop-up because of that call? That the passed ball by Porter was because of the call?

Let's replay the inning if Orta is correctly called out:

Orta - Out
Balboni - Single, pinch runner
Sandberg - sacrifice still likely. Two outs, runner at 2nd.
Pinch hitter - McRae - likely still walked (passed ball probably never happens) to set up a force at any bag and work around a more dangerous hitter.
Iorg - bloop single to RF still ties the game.

AT BEST for the Cardinals... It's a tie game.

"BUT...BUT...HE WAS OUT! SCREW DINKENGER!" - Cardinals fans

One of the overlooked aspects of that inning is that had Orta been called out Clark is playing back at normal depth instead of holding the runner on. Doesn't mean he catches the pop up, but he probably has a much better read on it than he would holding a runner on.

That said any speculation is just that...speculation.
