Mock (5/21)
Assumptions:
1. The Chiefs finish 7-9 and end up picking #12. Andy Reid, John Dorsey, Pederson and Sutton are all retained. 2. The Chiefs extend QB Alex Smith, OLB Justin Houston, and S Eric Berry over the next 12 months. 3. The Chiefs cut QB Chase Daniel, TE Anthony Fasano, OLB Tamba Hali and CB Sean Smith. The Chiefs attempt to trade CB Brandon Flowers -- but because the Chiefs can't do anything right, they fail to do this and have to cut him as well. 4. The Chiefs re-sign G Rishaw Johnson after he has a solid 2014 season starting at RG to a 3 year, $8m deal. 5. The Chiefs let walk RB Joe McKnight, WR Junior Hemingway, OT J'Marcus Webb, G Jeff Linkenbach, C Rodney Hudson, DE Allen Bailey, OLB Dezmon Moses and CB Chris Owens. 6. The Chiefs re-sign FB Anthony Sherman, CB Ron Parker, LS Thomas Gafford to minimal deals. 7. The Chiefs sign OLB Osi Umenyiora (Falcons) on a 2-year, $6m deal. 8. They receive four compensatory picks: a 3rd, a 4th, a 5th, and a 6th. On with the show: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/QLcq_PUzBWI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> 1. CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, Oregon Next year's Justin Gilbert. 2. WR Quinshad Davis, North Carolina Bigger, physical receiver to provide the Chiefs some more muscle in their receiving corps to counteract the growing stable of speed demons. 3. TE Randall Telfer, USC A blocker-first, receiving-second type of TE that Dorsey loves. 3. DE Henry Anderson, Stanford Huge, powerful run defender with some passrushing ability. 4. NT Jordan Phillips, Oklahoma Very large, 330 lbs defensive tackle with really good athleticism. Sounds like a Dorsey prospect to me. 4. S Rohan Gaines, Arkansas Don't know much about this guy, but he has a free safety body with decent production. 5. WR Brandon Carter, TCU Faster, speedier receiver that thrives in Reid's system. 5. C Brandon Vitabile, Northwestern I love this player. A bit undersized, but the whole package -- enthusiastic run blocker and really solid pass protector. If Kush doesn't develop, Vitabile would challenge him to start. 6. QB Gary Nova, Rutgers Good size, smart game manager. 6. CB Cody Riggs, Florida Smaller NCB corner, fantastic speed with some FS ability. 7. S Hakim Jones, North Carolina State Your usual from NC State: outstanding measurable, little in fundamentals. Will need developmental time. |

What are you trading to go up from 12 to get IEO?
|
Osi is in no way shape or form an OLB in the 3-4. Horrible ****ing signing.

Replace it in your mind with one of your choosing. |
Sam Acho or Larry English.
|
Excellent. They're going to take #3 OLB money, you think?

Nova is a Super pick-he could turn into a Red Giant here.

Ekpre-Olomu is 5'10", a little short for Dorsey's taste. Like Ekpre-Olomu, Williams, Florida St., 6'0"; Shaw, Southern Cal, 6'1"; Collins, LSU, 6'1"; are listed on CBS top 32 big board for 2015 and are closer physical matches to Phillip Gaines.

Nova is Tyler Palco
