Giving up on Calvin Johnson...
 

I thought I stole him in a Week 1 trade, but he's been a complete bust.

Christ, he was only targeted 6 times on Sunday.

Anyway, I put him on the trade block this week, and am going to take the best offer no matter what.

Right now, the best offer is Fred Taylor and Bobby Engram for CJ.

Why give up on him? Christ dude....you have Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith and Dwayne Bowe. Unless you're starting 4 WRs a week....you shouldn't give up on him. Just keep him instead of trading him for garbage.

On second thought..if you're deadset on trading him then try trading him for a better RB then Fred Taylor.

I'd deal him or package him for a solid starting back. Johnson just needs a QB

The problem is, he has no value.

I have all these solid WR's in a league that only starts 2, and I'm trying to deal for a solid RB.

Every offer I get is for Smith. No one wants any part of CJ, and I can't really blame them.

At least Engram will get targeted 10+ times a game, and has a solid QB.

Just looking at lineups, the best I might be able to do is McGahee/McClain or McFadden.

I have a MJD/Steve Smith for Matt Forte/Desean Jackson deal pending, but he won't take CJ instead.

If I did that, I'd have to roll with Wayne and CJ every week, and hope like hell he doesn't lose me every week like he did this week.

Who has the Lions QB?

He has too weak a team to deal with, IMO.

Kitna is his backup - he starts Rivers, who I traded to him.

His RB's are:

Jacobs
McFadden
Pittman (Den)
Sproles

His WR's are:

Rod White
Kevin Curtis
Robert Meachem


So, he needs the WR help, but he'd cripple himself even further by giving up McFadden. And right now, McFadden isn't much of an upgrade. That's why I'm trying to deal MJD - he's sucked for the most part, but the schedule looks really good for him the next 4-5 weeks.

RBBC has ruined FF.

Offer him MJD and Calvin Johnson for McFadden and Roddy White.

I don't see how that helps me.

I'm basically trading one 3rd down back (with a favorable upcoming schedule) for another 3rd down back that has a lingering injury.

Hopefully this Forte deal will go down, and I'll just take my chances with CJ.

Well you can see if he'll give up Jacobs but I doubt it.

I doubt it too, considering I traded him Jacobs and Rivers for Addai and Steve Smith 2 weeks ago...

There certainly should be adjustments made to FF because of RBBC. QBs will be the marquee position of the future.

Looks like I'm sticking with him.

Just got an offer for Forte and DeSean Jackson for MJD and Steve Smith.

If CJ could manage to pull his head out of his ass, my team (on paper) is un****ingstoppable.
