Sometimes I wonder if Sasha Kaun is worth the trouble. Sure he can score 13 or 15 points in a game, but he's also likely to have a few turnovers, pick up a bunch of fouls, get rejected by the rim on a dunk attempt, and he can only play defense against big stationary guys.

Of course it does when the big man who never shoots 3 starts lighting it up from outside...

I think it is time for Self and Co to start pushing and running it now...

We're lucky to be within 3 right now. Just pathetic how we make average/bad teams look so good.

I hate this KU team, I really do. I can't defend them anymore they make me want to poke my eyes out.

Dora can shoot the 3. He drained 3 (including the game winner) on Big Monday at Lubbock 2 years ago.

Dora shooting 3's is not a fluke.

I'm not so sure its that we make average / bad teams look good so much as it is this KU team is highly over-rated. The thing that makes me want to poke my eyes out about this team is that they just don't play smart basketball. I'm not sure if its soley the team or if some of that comes from Self.

It is getting pretty bad.. Self should start feeling the heat very soon....

This crap against weak, very weak teams, will not cut it come tourney time. This season is shaping up for another first round exit....

It's bullshit that every time KU plays, they beat themselves more than the other team beats them.

KU lacks basic basketball fundamentals. I can't count the number of times I see KU players fly up in the air going for a big block and the offensive player never even left his feet. You don't jump unless they do.

And then there's the ridiculously stupid shot selections and just bad overall passing.

Self is a great recruiter, but a very, very average coach. The talent gap between the super programs like KU, UNC, and Duke is closing more quickly than ever, and you can only skate by on talent alone for so long before you just get absolutely exposed, and that's exactly what's happening to KU lately.

Very overrated to say the least.....

The talent is definitely there. It's the bad decisions that they constantly make that kills us.

Reerun. Why would you say TTech is a weak team? They have 4 seniors. Two of those players, JJ and Zino are legit all conference.

They blew a game at Baylor, but TT is far from weak.

Self dont get this ship straight, there will be a new sheriff in town....

Not weak, but decidedly average. Certainly weaker than KU in terms of raw talent.

Definitely stronger than KU in the coaching department.

From the games I watched of them this year. They havent played no where near the level they are playing today... I watched the KSU/TT "cant hit the broad side of a barn" shooting fest not long ago...

And the Baylor game... They are playing above thier collective head today....

With Self on the sidelines, TT already has this game. It sucks we get great talent and yet Self lets them play down to their ability.......... WTF does it take to get these kids motivated ?

ISU takes KU to the wire, then proceeds to get run by CO and KSU

MU get hammered at home by KSU and then plays the game of thier life agianst KU at Allen.

Baylor runs TT, TT runs KSU and really hasnt look worth a shit all year and now they are playing like the second coming of the Chicago Bulls...

Too many teams this year are playing the "game of their lives" against KU -- ORU, DePaul, ISU, MU... there's a pattern here.

It all started when Self showed up.

Even if KU loses this game, which right now is looking more and more likely, its not a terrible loss. It is a conference road game against a team that will make the NCAA tournament.

You can go inside or outside. but when KU is missing point blank shots it doesnt matter.

Plus TT is just raining 3's.... I wouldnt be surprised if this is the best they have shot from behind the arc all year....

Yep. I don't know what it is but that seems to happen to KU. Look at ISU at Hilton. They played the game of their lives. But what have they done since that game? :banghead:

It's because KU doesn't rotate properly in the zone and they double team when they shouldn't.

It's not the players for the other team -- it's the KU players.
