Road Trip Music - Need suggestions
Alright... Some friends and I are driving to Vegas for Memorial Day weekend, conviently this is also my Birthday weekend. What I'm needing are some suggestions for songs to burn onto cd's for this road trip.
What we have so far: Lonliest Day - System of a Down 100% Texan - Robert Earl King Pour Some Sugar on Me - Def Leoppard (I think) Wanted, Dead or Alive - (I don't know) Come Back to Texas - (I don't know) What I Got - Sublime Boys in the Hood - Dynamite Hack Gin and Juice - Snoop Dogg The Riot Song - Sublime Master of Puppets - Metallica I need at least 20 more songs, so just about any good song will be considered and appreciated! We're staying at a cheap Downtown Hotel called the Plaza, just an FYI if anyone has any advice. Apparantly this hotel is across the street from that Freemont Experience Light Show. |
you need an mp3 player and a few gigs for that trip
|
Wanted, Dead or Alive - (I don't know) (Bon Jovi)
|
Runnin' Down a Dream - Tom Petty
|
Helter Skelter - Motley Crue
|
For some reason, I can only listen to Big Audio Dynamite on a road trip. I can't stand them any other time.
|
Alittle George Strait never hurt nobody and some Mike Jones.
|
Willin' by Little Feat (though the Steve Earle version is superior, imo)
White Freightliner Blues by Townes Van Zandt One More Cup of Coffee by Dylan |
Oh, you've got to throw in some Rev. Horton Heat, too.
|
Just a few from my play list...
Yellow - Oh Yeah Rob Zombie - Demon Speeding POD - Boom Anthrax - I'm the Man Pap Roach - Getting Away With Murder Linkin Park - Figure 09 Gravity Kills - Guilty |
Choice cuts from these albums:
Kottonmouth Kings- "Royal Highness" Rage Against the Machine: " Battle of Los Angeles" Red Hot Chili Peppers: "Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik" Little Feat: "Waiting for Columbus" |
Redemption Soon.....Vedera
|
One of the best driving songs (for me at least) is Red Rain by Peter Gabriel (sp?).
Awesome when the sun is low, cutting through the trees and throwing sharp patterns of light and dark on the blacktop as you're slicing through the air like a jet and the power plant's rpms and the rhythm of your wheels are in perfect sync. FAX |
Great stuff so far, keep em going. FYI, I have a 40gig MP3 player that is basically empty because I'm lazy, so space for music is not a problem once I figure out what I want.
I need to buy one of those FM tuners so I can blast it over the car audio though. |
How about the song from Pantera that goes ...RE-SPECT....
Is that Cowboys From Hell? |
