Fans Stop Booing. Become Supportive. Team Wins. Coincidence?

Anyone else wondering if it was more than a coincidence that when the Chiefs needed support and got it they found a way to win?

GloryDayz 12-03-2012 09:39 AM

Was there a reason to boo? So the coincidence is that when you play good football, you win.. Huh, who knew?!

threebag 12-03-2012 09:40 AM

JFC. you're shitting me right? This is the dumbest shit I have seen I think ever.

Were you born this dumb? Or did did you hit your head several times as a child?:hmmm:

WilliamTheIrish 12-03-2012 09:41 AM

Or:

Chiefs actually play well for the first time in 10 weeks, fans cheer, become supportive.

Coincidence?

May we should shoot a current player weekly. That might improve our chances...

notorious 12-03-2012 09:42 AM

If fans decided wins and losses, the Chiefs would have 15 Superbowl trophies.

Yes, but there were times when they started to revert and make stupid mistakes but this time there was no booing or derision. The mood stayed positive and the fans kept being supportive. Things did not spiral out of control like they normally do.

I think you've confused the CP with Arrowhead Pride.

memyselfI 12-03-2012 09:46 AM

Yesterday was the most positive supportive crowd the Chiefs have had all year if not the last couple. I think the crowd was very reflective of what it used to be in the 90s before we started to believe that negativity equals being supportive.

It professional ****ing sports. We can't pussify it so even your kids could play. If you can't take the heat get the **** out the kitchen. I would let someone boo me all day long for a million or so a year.

L.A. Chieffan 12-03-2012 09:49 AM

So why did they suck and lose almost every game when the fans WERE supporting them?

You DO know that they played the Panthers, right?

You do know that they are a 3 and 9 team, right?

Right but that long vaunted Arrowhead advantage did not include booing your team into the ground.

That is utter bullshit. The stadium yesterday was half full and extremely mild by Arrowhead standards. There have been several games this year that were louder.

Yes. But it was also a day that if the players were to phone in a game or play with no heart that would be the day. Instead they showed up on the field that has become quite hostile. Played better, not well, and when they started to screw up people just keep cheering and being supportive. They didn't sink into the abyss like they normally do. THEY FOUND A WAY TO WIN.

I don't think it was all about Belcher. I think it had as much to do with the crowd not turning on the team.

Right but there was no booing yesterday was there? There was a sense that the people showing up for that game were there to be supportive.

I don't think it had to do with the crowd.

The crowd will cheer when they stop sucking. They did this to themselves.

They aren't a bunch of 5 year old whiny ass suburban white kids. They are grown men that are paid to do a job whether they are booed or not.

Home stadium filled with booing fans
Or

no. Egg and egg.

Team is from KC.

Fans are excited about team from KC.

KC team sucks for a long time.

Fans still cheer and are excited.

Team takes suckage to new heights.

Team does nothing to address glaring and obvious problems.

Team craps on fanbase.

Fanbase gets pissed.

A great example of this is in action would be to look at how the ineffectiveness of NY teams over the past few years correlates with the continued hostility from their fans.

Because Matt Cassell was the re-run from previous seasons. The booing was of Matt Cassell. MATT CASSELL MATT CASSELL MATT CASSELL.

It has flourished and spread to the organization as a whole..

I still LOVE many of the players on this team. The organization can suck my ****.

Right but the players know that Matt Cassel is not entirely responsible and thus the scapegoat for the entire team. He's the poster child for epic fail of the past four years.

Those players walked onto that field knowing for the first time in years there would be nothing but support and good vibrations coming from the fans. I think it had to effect their sense of relief and focus and thus lead them to play better.

What a dumb ****.

What about road games? How is it teams win on the road(?) and I'm not talking about us.

Why can't we expect them to win on the road? That is part of being a good team. Obviously we were never a good team. It took a tragic event in their lives & play above their means. Had that tragedy not happen they still would have shit & have Cam Newton walk all over them.
