What do you spend on fresh fruits and veggies a week
One thing my wife and I don't really budget is our groceries. We tend to shop a few times a week and buy only the next two or three meals at a time. So I don't have a good feel for this.
I'm trying to do the math on joining a local CSA. What would you say you spend a week on fresh fruits and veggies? |
not much.
I'd probably say $10? dpending on what we're having for dinners etc |
Probably in the $50.00 to $75.00 range.
We probably spend about $25 on next week's garbage.
$50
Probably about $50-$75
Less now that we're growing them.
Fig tree, lemon tree, lime tree, orange tree, peach, plum, olive. Zucchini (huge - size of a man's leg below the calf), bibb lettuce, romaine, basil, rosemary, thyme, japanese eggplant, yellow squash, habeneros, poblanos, red and green bell pepper, roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, grape tomatoes, large heirloom tomatoes, spinach, artichokes. |
I'm in. Send to my house please.

My family eats a ton of fresh fruits and veggies. We do the CSA thing during the summer at the local farmers market. I have a fairly sizable garden as well, so I grow a lot of what I eat too.
Around $40 probably.
$25 - $40 every two weeks, do a lot more frozen veg (due to cost) than fresh. Most of our fresh veggies come out of the garden.
At the farmers market this morning I spent $11.50 on 3 bags of snap peas & 1 bunch of radishes
