I hate the song with the burning fire of 1000 suns, but I bet a lot of people would include Macarena.

Yeah I don't know why, Mickey is the first song I think of when I think one-hit wonders. But I hate that song almost as much as the Macarena.

They had one hit. They had several singles that did nothing and several albums. If you want to include over-seas chart success then they aren't one hit.

whoman69 12-01-2012 06:12 PM

tons more...

Eh "hits" aren't even the goal of some bands. Pink Floyd didn't make hits they made great music. Alice Cooper is technically a one hit wonder... but that hardly defines him. Charts are just for whats popular, whatever kind of chart it is.

Yes. That's more like it. I thought Major Tom was Bowie for some reason. Herp Derp. Falco had "Rock Me, Amadeus" though.

Yeah I screwed up on Falco, forgot about Rock Me, Amadeus... should have used After the Fire's version of Der Kommissar there... even though Falco was the first to record it and that's the version I have.

Oh, here are a couple more...

When In Rome - The Promise
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/5HI_xFQWiYU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

and...

Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Round

I have no shame.. I'll admit I had both 45s.
