I dont think it will end no matter what happens. There are so many remakes and "RE BOOTS" The movie industry has really run out of new ideas. Comics open an entire new world to them and there are so many characters to work with.

Hollywood hasn't ran out of ideas it's more the concept of bankable "built in "audiences for a less chance of failure at the box office.

Exactly.

But the question is whether or not that well is infinite. If Hollywood makes a "comic book movie" bad enough to turn off the majority of the built in audience, it's possible that the trend could fall off.

Hollywood would just find the next built in audience to squeeze.
