Backbreaker: Football game that will compete with EA
 

I've been following the progress on this game for at least a year now and it's finally coming out. It looks very promising and I think it will compete with the evil madden despite the ridiculous NFL license.

This will be a football game unlike any you have ever seen. I'm extremely excited for this, it's going to have franchise, online and other features. The game engine looks very smooth and I really do have high hopes for this one. Everybody is going to say it will fail because of the NFL license, but if you are a fan of playing football games, than the NFL license won't be that important. I just hope that the online play is as good as 2Ks and they have a system in place to make it a good experience.

It wont compete at all, but it can give another option. I just hate the ****ing camera's they use. I hope they dont force it upon you. IF they do, i pass.

It does look better then anything Madden has ever done, then again thats saying nothing really. Madden is a piece of shit.

it will take some getting used to. It's a completely different approach to a football sim. I'm down for something different if it's well done and it does look like it is. I hope I'm not let down, but I have a good feeling about this one.

No way that even comes close to competing with Madden.

This looks like a good game for us APF people. I'll be checking it out.

NFL license is huge to me. I only play w the Chiefs.
Gameplay looks good. I have the backbreaker game on my iPhone. It's pretty cool. It looks kind of like this, but it's just avoiding tacklers running down the field.

This game comes out June 3rd and I can't wait! I've been following this game for a couple of years now and I'm trusting that they did it right. They kept pushing it back, it was supposed to come out a couple of years ago. They just want to make sure it's right. I think EA will try to buy out their engine in a year or 2, I think you football fans will be very surprised here.

They'd put Madden as we know it out of business. EA would be forced to adapt.

Why? The EA and Madden name will outsell any competition, regardless of the quality of the product. The Madden brand is entrenched, and it would take a herculean effort to even put a dent in that market...

Hey I'm not a Madden fan boy. I wish we had an alternative but c'mon man the guys running and juking looked like shit.
