I absolutely hated this idea at first but considering our needs I'm starting to warm to it.

Really depends what happens w/ Albert. If he's kept we will prob draft a QB

If Albert is not kept, then I'd imagine we'd draft Joeckel.

I suspect if Geno wasn't on the poll, Wilson would come in 1st here.

Here's the problem with the trade out idea.

We all agree that QB is more important than anything by a long shot. That being said, are you willing to sacrifice the #1 QB prospect for say the 3rd or 4th QB prospect just to gain an extra 2nd? Really? Is that worth it? Have you looked at recent years in the 1st top rated QB prospect vs say the 3rd? I'll save you the time. Big drop off.

The problem with the trade-out scenario is that it isn't realistic.

We need a QB but we don't think there's a QB there worth the #1 pick.

Teams trade up for QUARTERBACKS.

NOBODY is going to trade up. It's that simple.

A team is going to want to trade for a QB. If there's a QB there worth taking, we're taking him.

I am in Wilson's camp...Think he will be the best pure QB in the draft.

A) Has to be for someone other than QB.
B) We have to think our QB will fall to X traded pick.
C)We have to make a trade worthy of trading out.

This isn't the 4th pick, it's the ****ing 1st.

The only reason someone would move up to #1 is for a QB. If we need a QB, why the **** would we trade out to someone else?

I don't think anyone is going to want to trade with us. We always pick the worst year for high draft positions. 2009 was a terrible year for the 3rd overall pick. I say grab Geno and move on.

I did find it interesting when I was listening to 610's JC Pearson yesterday when they were talking about spinal stenosis. (narrowing of the spinal canal)

His reaction was to almost laugh it off saying (paraphrasing) "Shoot I have that. Every player has that to some degree. Now I don't know how serious his might be but that is very common among football players."

Just found that interesting. Food for thought.

Should be moot point for us IMO. Just take a QB and Jones will be long gone by our 2nd pick.
