This will be the only one I do before the draft. Keep in mind that the Chiefs have met with every player selected.

The Chiefs trade a 2019 2nd rd pick and 2018 6th rd pick for the Browns 35th pick-look, Dorsey loves picks. He’s still close with Veach and I think he’ll give us a fair deal. A 2nd rd pick alone is worth enough for us to move this high, so this is a completely fair deal.

2. Mike Hughes CB UCF-we all know the love is there. We’ve reportedly been on this kid and have made no secret about it. I think with his lack of ideal height and his trouble at North Carolina, teams will not want to invest a 1st rd pick in him. If we move up, I think it’s for Isaiah Oliver or Mike Hughes. Speaking of Oliver, Dorsey has been sniffing around this kid a lot, which makes sense bc he has the SPARQ scores and 33 in arms. I believe Dorsey takes Oliver at 33 and trades with us at 35.

3. Rashaan Gaulden DB-Tall DB with solid ball skills and a lot of versatility to provide us with a solid chess piece. At Tennessee he played slot, outside, free safety and in the box which makes him a perfect fit for our subpackages. This kid would play right away and have the ability to cover TE’s if asked. Some scouts believe he is a first day starter in the NFL.

3. Jalyn Holmes DL OSU-The Chiefs have made it no secret that they are planning to score a ton of points on offense and try to force teams to keep up. This kind of player fits our subpackages perfectly. At OSU, Holmes played everywhere including inside and outside. He’s even dropped into coverage before. Among DT’s in this class, Holmes was 3rd in arm length, 1st in 10 time, 1st in 40 and 2nd in the short shuttle. He’s basically a similar pick as Tanoh Kpassagnon but with more experience as an interior player. I foresee Holmes being a rotational player in subpackages that will be moved mostly inside, but sometimes as an edge for special alignments.

4. Andrew Brown DL Virginia-here’s our Allen Bailey replacement. Guy might not play much this year, but he has everything you like. 6’4” 296 lbs, 35 inch arms with 31 bench reps (that is damn impressive). He also ran a 5 second 40 and 7.5 3 cone (very similar to Chris Jones). Brown is an extremely hard worker who never gives up and his 9.5 sacks the last 2 years show it. He’s another versatile piece. He can play 3 tech, 5 tech, stand up as an interior rusher (he did this in college) and have the potential to play edge sometimes like Chris Jones.

4. Austin Golson OL Auburn-I think Frank Ragnow and Braden Smith will be hot commodities in the late 2nd/early 3rd rd so unfortunately I think we miss out. Golson would be a nice fit here as a possible starter and Zach Fulton replacement. Golson played everywhere on the OL, so he has a ton of versatility. He did well in the SEC and his 7.7 3 cone showed off his nice movement skills. I think he’ll battle Ehinger for LG and be a key reserve this year at worst. Keep in mind the Chiefs lost Fulton and Morse is a FA next year.

7. Jordan Akins TE UCF-Chiefs were all over this dude at the UCF pro day. He’s extremely hard to cover and fits the move TE role perfectly. Right now he’s listed as a 6th rd at best player bc he can’t block...oh and he’s turning 26 as a rookie. Not a big deal for a 7th rd pick IMO. We need more competition at TE, as well as ST’s.

7. Nick Bowden FB SDSU-big dude with a grown man’s blocking mentality. Really good pass catcher. Oh and he was a QB! We can use him for goal line trick plays! Start this guy off on ST’s and I bet Toub will turn him into an impact player there.

You mean 2nd round pick in 2018 + 2nd round pick in 2019 + 6th round pick right?

Yeah that's not happening.

E: oh yeah, he must mean 2+2+6. That would be a bad trade for KC.

I like this.

Well done Run

Yeah it’s 2018 2nd+2018 6th+2019 2nd

I’m good with this. Hughes is a 1st round talent, and I really like Gaulden. I’m warming up to the idea of him at FS.

I’d probably go for a guy like Turay instead of Holmes, but I wouldn’t hate that pick. I love Andrew Brown. He was unblockable in the Senior Bowl game.

I was really considering Turay but ended up with Holmes. I’m good with either.

Pass rusher is such a big need. Ford’s back is so ****ed that he couldn’t feel his leg last year. I don’t have much faith in him. I think his career is in serious trouble.

IMO, the Chiefs need to stay where they're at and select defensive BPA or trade down to load up picks next season. KC already blew their load with Mahomes, thus they need to stock up for the 2019 draft.
