Trying to watch a Dvd on my computer

I can't seem to get it to run. System is a 1 yr old Dell 660?? It's one of those small cpu and E: drive is a vertical drawer (won't hold my coffee cup).
The drive is labeled as a "DVD Multi Recorder". Does this mean it will only run Dvd Data stuff and not video/movie stuff?

I've down loaded Quicktime and opened the Windows Media Center.

I load the disc and it doesn't autorun the movie. It opens a window "PC_Clickme" Featuring Sony Pictures Home Entertainment photo. The tabs across the top have a "Play Movie" button. Nothing happens, I hear the drive spin but no movie.

Thanks

If VLC won't play it, nothing will.

It's one of those multimedia CDs that has embedded data on it. Sony is wanting you to watch it using their software most likely.

Damn Skippy...that did it. I wasted 2 hours trying to break the code. Many thanks.
