Signing him would be a considerable step in the right direction, even if they do draft Joeckel and move him to RT.

BossChief 01-22-2013 02:20 PM

Albert probably thinks chiefsnos is a complete fool.

He genuinely thinks a guy took enough time to try to hoax a call in to 610 and provide some real info...but couldn't google "branden Albert high school basketball"

What a fool.

If he's willing to come back....he's one of the players I'd like to see back in KC.

If we're being honest and we're having discussion about moving a T to G, it needs to be Winston.

Winston is a stout run blocker and struggles in pass protection. Moving him inside makes much more sense to me than Albert.

So now we have 3 tackles that are either; 1st round picks or high priced free agents, sounds like a winning combo to me.

Let's ignore the smoking crater that is the QB spot and draft a postition that we already have set, not perfect, but set.

Bet you think that going after Alex Smith or Matt Flynn would be a great idea too.

Who says you wouldn't be doing that with Geno? If we did take him at #1, there is a good chance he won't be the day one starter. it's probably 50/50.

Albert's contract is up and we will have to make a decision on him. Winston's contract is up after next year. If we took a linemen #1 overall, thy have more of a chance of starting than a QB would imo. You could easily move Winston to guard.

Some won't like it but it's true.

Because you dont use #1 overall on depth when you have a gaping hole at another spot. In this case it's QB. The Chiefs need 3 of them and if they get even decent QB play, it will make the rest of the team better

what difference does it make?

1. the 1st pick whoever it is won't be the highest paid player in the league
2. KC is at the top of the league in cap space

When you go 2-14 you can't be cheap, if you have to overpay to have a solid OL then you do it. Ask San Francisco is stock piling OL is a bad strategy.

I have heard several writers comment on how Geno has a second round grade over the past few months. I think he's a 1st round pick but, I don't think Slim's crazy for feeling that way either.
