Chiefs bringing back the Yellow Endzones?

That would have been appropriate for the Raiders game yesterday. It's like our home field.

I hate those yellow gloves that DRob and Kelce were wearing yesterday. I always think it's a flag on the play.

I'd certainly prefer the red, but either is fine.

Just saw on twitter that Jamaal will be banging the drum on Sunday.

At Municipal they used to paint the helmets of the two teams on opposite sides of the 50 facing the line. That was cool too.

I noticed that Kelce had changed to red after halftime.

Kinda can see what George was talking about in this picture. Our seats were on lower level corner end zone in the corner L bend seating hust in front of that column. I was there unless dad didnt have work at TWA then I sat in the huddle club. I always felt sorry for those who had seat behind the columns talk about getting ****ed.

During the game I noticed he kept getting infield dirt stuck to his gloves.The gloves lose their grip with the dirt on them.

I know this is stupid, but I posted it anyway.

I'm not a fan, honestly.

In that picture as we view it, the stands on the right side was the "Wolfpack" section. These were steel bleachers put up in the outfield, starting at the left field line, across center toward right field. Where the camera man is is where the right field wall would be for baseball, which was also called "Stenerud's Roost." The far end of the field where the press box curves around, that's where home plate for baseball would have been. That far end zone behind the goalposts was where the kids in the "Huddle Club" would sit. The players would enter and exit the field up a walkway that went up into the stands behind that far goal post. Also, both teams were on the same sideline in front of the Wolfpack. 50 yard line split the bench areas.

Yeah That was me as a kid. Upper deck behind a pole. Rich kids got all the breaks.

It will be tough to get Arrowhead parking in some guys yard for a buck then walk in for the full experience

There is a lot of history to cash in on, these are special times.

Personally, I think the red design on page 2 is way better. But the Yellow would be interesting as well.

Arrowhead is going to be a madhouse on Sunday.

We always parked at Gold Buffet and rode the bus so much easier. Sometimes Dad would park in Sams lot and we would walk over that bridge.

I was sitting in the corner on MNF against Washington when OT caught the one handed Dawsons pass into the corner with Pat Fischer draped all over him holding his other arm. Otis shook held on sending Pat helicoptering to the ground. Otis was a strong strong man.

I LOVED the old Astroturf colors of our end zone from the 80's.

It looked so bright and menacing.

It was 8 rushing TD's. I Imagine Pat will have a game, at least once, where he throws 8 TD's.

I was probably there but don’t remember all those game details like you. The only really detailed memory I have is of the Christmas 71 playoff loss.

Parking for you guys was probably better but the whole secret “drug deal” of parking in a guy’s yard overlooking the stadium and my old man working his “reservation” was cheap kid entertainment. Old guy talk.

Just make sure the guys doing the letters have a Snickers first.

I always favored the red end zones, but I can sample the gold ones as well.

I hate yellow, I wish we would get it out of everything Chiefs related.

I don’t have inside info. Just putting two and two together. Seems logical that they’d pay homage to where they started, and to the last time they won a championship.

I can remember those bleachers swaying at times. Every once in awhile, my dad would get seats in the lower deck about the (far in this picture) 20 in front of the columns. Those were the bomb.

I like the red as well, but the yellow looks like a more obvious throwback for some reason. (Which I like)

I know what you mean. I first noticed that when the Chiefs played the Chargers in the home opener about 3-4 years ago. One or two Chargers players were wearing yellow gloves and I kept thinking it was a flag.

It was also in 2004, not 2005. I believe Derrick Blaylock and Priest Holmes each scored 4 TDs. I was at that game. Great game!:thumb:

When Arrowhead first opened, the Astroturf had a circle logo at the 50 with a very 1970's "A" logo, which was at the time their Red Arrowhead Stadium logo. So, the look of the field changes all the time. Personally, I'd be cool with putting the AFL 60 year Anniversary logo at the center 50 this year. I think Lamar would have dug that.

Why not one red endzone and one yellow endzone? Then people can stare at the endzone they find most beautiful.
